The music industry is indistinguishable from Wal-Mart. They're both overwhelming and predatory, profit-driven and stocked endlessly with junk.

That would make me a quirky boutique - I don't make any money, no one ever comes in, and I absolutely love what I do.
For the Smooth Sailor recordings, I clumsily play all the instruments and do all the recording and editing on my own with very modest equipment. 
Dreaming of simpler times, I pay sonic reverence to my cherished idols from Motown and Postcard Records.
Through language I try to grip the rapturous sentimentality of life and love. With cadence and tone I search for goosebumps on the listener's skin.
Today's unsigned or independent bands are obsessed with overkill-promotion and I find it very distasteful. My ambitions are to indulge in my own world, not attract tourists. But here's my music for anyone who happens to find it.
