This week BETAMAX057 invites Producer, DJ and Label owner from Belgium - Poladroïd  @poladroid-rr

Poladroïd is a project that started in 2000. After a debut on International Deejay Gigolos, the Russian went his own way and created Roulette Rekordz @roulette-rekordz, releasing artists like Scape One , MANASYt , The WeeDJs and a bunch of various compilations... He also toured Europe and played in Praha, London, Madrid, Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Bordeaux, Munich, and mostly in Belgium with artists like ADULT., Ectomorph, Anthony Rother, Dopplereffekt, Luke Eargoggle, Zerkalo and a long list of local artists...

Roulette Rekordz stopped its activities in 2007 and Poladroid took a break shortly after only to resurface in 2019, relaunching the label at the same time. In 2021 he already produced 2 EP's on his own label, but also a CD on Diffuse Reality records and a cassette release on Detriti records.

Roulette Rekordz has released on vinyl the second volume of Carjack City with Ben Milstein, Datawave, Terens K... but also digital EP's from Francois Dillinger, Datacrashrobot, Dr Floyd, Dark Prophet and RR veteran LL321.�2 more compilations are coming as well as EP's from new guests, exploring further a large spectrum of classic and, sometimes, much more unconventional electronics.

Amig@s, llegamos al último capítulo de nuestra miniserie por el podcast 100 dedicado a las tiendas de discos. 

La parte 100.3 la firma un buen amigo del Colectivo y todo un referente de la resistencia ilustrada, David Verdeguer, desde su cuartel general en la Calle Doctor Sumsi 21 de Valencia, cierra este bonito ciclo. 
Verdeguer es sinónimo de pasión, dedicación, trabajo constante y cultura, mucha cultura. Como Dj comienza en los 90, pero ahí ya llevaba unos años sumergido en la cultura más vanguardista que ofrecía la Valencia de esa época. 

Hablar de David Verdeguer es complicado debido a su extensa y polifacética trayectoria, y es que pocas personas han sido clubbers, RRPP, vendedores de discos, Djs residentes, programadores de salas, montadores de raves, divulgador cultural, programador de eventos, dueños de sellos y tiendas de discos…parece que el chico no se ha dejado nada sin tocar. 

Vamos a tratar de dar unas pinceladas a su trayectoria como Dj profesional y agitador cultural: comienza en 1990 con residencias en salas como Terminal, Polígono III, Saxos y Rockola. En el 2000 pasa a ser residente de la mítica Barraca y ahí estará hasta 2005, llegando incluso a ser el director artístico de la sala. Tiempo que le valió para hacer del club un escaparate de sus grandes influencias como siempre ha sido el sonido de Detroit. Pasado este ciclo, en torno al 2005, David Verdeguer se convierte en uno de los fundadores de Hypnotica Colectiva con el objetivo de movilizar y visibilizar a tod@ artista del subterráneo valenciano. La historia de HC bien se merece algo más que unas líneas y es que sus eventos en salas o free parties pueden alcanzar los 800 desde su fundación, habiendo pasado por salas como Marjal Club, La Soiree, Miniclub o Ágora Club. Además, HC también cumplía con una labor divulgadora, programando la proyección de documentales o la edición del programa de radio Electronic Café Radio. El último gran paso de HC, fue de forma natural, la fundación de un sello discográfico (2016), HC Records, con un catálogo de lo más variado y siguiendo con la naturaleza del Colectivo de mezclar gente joven con veteranos. Os recomendamos que le dediquéis un tiempo a investigar sus referencias. 

En 2017 David Verdeguer da un paso más y crea uno de los espacios más mágicos que podemos encontrar en la península al transformar Killing Time en La Discoteca K&H Vinyl Store. Este local tiene un magnetismo difícil de describir, no es solo un club, no es solo un bar y no es solo una tienda de discos, sino que es un verdadero Santuario de la subcultura musical. Aquí puedes disfrutar de grandes sesiones de Djs o Lives de artistas de lo más variopinto mientras escarbas en cubetas repletas de discos o compras merchan de infinidad de sellos. Todos los detalles han sido cuidados al máximo y es que David Verdeguer (Y Ali, su/nuestra jefa) ha hecho que el local sea el reflejo de cómo él entiende que debería ser la música electrónica, real, sin más. Este garito es de los que se deben visitar tantas veces como sea posible. 

Para nosotros es un verdadero honor contar con David Verdeguer en esta miniserie y estamos seguros de que su set hará las delicias de tod@s. Una sesión de casi 4 horas grabada en Killing Time y donde podemos disfrutar temas de Ambient, IDM, Electro, Techno, House y todo lo que le dio la real gana poner, así es David, un Dj total.

Hoy vamos a la noble ciudad de Alicante en busca de nuestro invitado, el aristócrata DJ Sablo, heredero del hedonismo macarral/musical.

DJ Sablo es un artista y agitador cultural a los que tanto nos gusta conocer. A pesar de no llevar muchos años tras los platos sus sets gozan de una técnica y riqueza musical que parece que llevase desde el siglo XIII en esto.

Estilos como la EBM, Darkwave, Newbeat, Techno, Electro, Acid con su buena dosis Industrial son los que mandan el dinero desde su bolsillo hasta las tiendas de discos y de ahí a nuestra puta cara en forma de sets anárquicos y transgresores, con los que Dj Sablo consigue crear una atmósfera oscura y decadente repleta de humo y sudor. 

Dj Sablo es promotor del infame M3TA CLVB, cita mensual en su Alicante, para esas mentes musicales que no pueden seguir el camino marcado por las corrientes mayoritarias. M3TA CLVB es el aquelarre donde despliega toda su magia y que no con poco trabajo está ganando cada vez más adeptos. Sin duda un paraje digno de conocer si eres de esas personas a las que la luz estroboscópica y los sonidos distorsionados les riegan el alma.

Swedish producer based in Gothenburg. This Swedish entity contributed to live, real and in circumstantial surroundings. Mr. Eargoggle has a huge impact on the electro scene. Grown up listening to the electro funk sound of Egyptian Lover and similar funkateers, Luke Eargoggle, aka Lukas Pettersson, now lives by the beach in Sweden where he makes music in peace. Luke maintains the record label Stilleben Records and released some of his ultra funky electro tracks through Dutch label Bunker Records, German label Kommando 6 and more.
Especially for our podcast, Luke recorded an exclusively vinyl set.

GAMADON (aka GAvin MAc DONagh) started buying records and DJing in Dublin in 1996. He is a vinyl only DJ and record collector - Irish, currently based in London.

• He runs the Warehouse Manifesto label, with the first vinyl release out in earlier this year. A limited edition picture disc featuring electro tracks released in digital format only previously on Bass Agenda Recordings.

• He curates the Warehouse Manifesto mix series which he started in 2021. Some of his guests to date include Umwelt, Ben Sims, Claude Young, Joey Beltram, Jensen Interceptor, Sync 24 and Alienata.

• Most notably, he supported The Prodigy, on their European tour in cities such as Berlin, Hanover, Prague and Luxembourg in 2015-2016.

• Gamadon has previously had his mixes published by labels such as Bass Agenda, Dark Science Electro, Archaic, Gated, Gladio Operations, Nocta Numerica, Vortex Tracks, Distrito 91, Masa Series, Lepton, Hilltown Disco, Digital Distortions, Glory Berlin, Noise To Meet You and Elektrodos.
