Thaaaank youuuu magical cosmonautic souls for celebrating this beautiful beautiful gathering together again! Here is my set from Sunday night for everybody to go through this rollercoaster of sounds and spheres one more time. I love this petite but massively powerful gathering and it is a huge honor to me to have played here for the fourth time now. 

The energies and vibrations this festival brings together are beyond our regular three-dimensional world & everyone who came to this weekend meeting of special people knows what I'm talking about. THANK YOU to every single one for dancing out your most floaty ways again for me. I appreciate these moments so much!

For the 14th Pathways we welcome Matt Drake.

Drawing inspiration from the astral arpeggios of 70s Krautrock, ragged Balearic vagabond synth pop of the 80s and proto-rave machine rhythms of the 90s he has dedicated his life to music. 

Being a core part of New Zealand's underground dance music scene since the early 90s - touring clubs, festivals and events across the land, a founding member of Nurture Recordings, running Crucial Records on Auckland's High Street, hosting the decade long Slipstream radio on George FM, running club nights such as Beatstreet, and is a creative director at Lo-Fi Productions who have been creating epic boutique music experiences with the very best house and techno artists from Aotearoa and from across the globe.

This recording of my most recent gig at MaHalla reflects the shift in musical style that I went through during the past months. I am noticing that I can authentically find myself more & more in the spheres of deep, tribal & somewhat mystical sounds of progressive down- and midtempo music. This sonic journey is infused with shamanic and later on psychedelic influences before rounding the journey up with some cloudy, dreamy tracks to generate a smooth transition back into reality. With rain heaving down during this set, groovers had to get as close to the DJ booth as they could and this created an energy that pulsated through the whole festival!
