House music at its best! Let Dave Baker take you on a journey of discovery and aural pleasure as he brings you the hottest and freshest funky, deep and tech house releases every week.  

It’s been a massive week for new releases, promos and white labels, so much so that only 4 tracks in this week’s mix have been released at the time this episode goes out! We kick off with nice grooves from Jac & Hutch who take a “classic” Boz Scaggs song from 1976 (you know, from the Silk Degrees album that you must all have at home!); Damarii Saunderson remixes his dad’s huge 90’s anthem Pennies From Heaven; we have the title track from James Juke’s awesome Fantasy & Joy EP; we also have something for the old ravers from  Farayen & Liam Parkins (unashamedly shoehorned into the mix!); and we finish with a couple of melodic white label edits of classic London Grammar and Adele songs. Keep an eye out for another bonus episode as there’s so many big tracks that couldn’t fit into this set.

Next up we welcome one of Brighton's latest stars. Banxi AKA Caroline Banks is a versatile and internationally renowned DJ and music producer with a rich background in electronic music. Born in the UK with Irish heritage, she has a strong passion for travel which has shaped her career as a DJ; spending a year in China, 2 years in Ibiza, and becoming deeply connected to and respected within the Goa music scene. At the age of 16, she moved to London, where she delved into underground music that ignited her desire to be a part of it.

Banxi quickly achieved success in 2003 with high-profile DJ residencies across the UK and an invitation to join the prestigious superlabel, Nukleuz. She also earned recognition as a Mixmag Future Hero. Her craft and her distinctive sound have evolved since her early clubbing days, from a harder, faster sound to a more melodic, layered and atmospheric journey through minimal, melodic techno and organic house. She loves taking the crowd on an adventure, injecting energy into her sets and forging a strong connection with the dance floor.


Since relocating from Ibiza in 2020, Banxi has been a regular on the Brighton music scene, performing at notable events such as Berlin-Brighton gigs and supporting artists like Timo Maas at the Brighton Music Conference. Her performances are known for taking audiences on musical journeys, reflecting her diverse musical influences and experiences.

Bio (English)

Daniel Dezső aka Underground Ticket was born in Hungary (1987). His passion for music began with collecting new releases from his favourite genres, like deep house, tech house, dub techno & techno.
As a music fanatic he bought an own equipment to upgrade his mixing skills and in 2004 he started dj-ing in local clubs as Underground Ticket. Daniel started producing in 2011. He worked with labels like Estribo, 3XA Music, Massive Harmony, Reelaux Digital, Refined Tunes, Embliss Records, Stellar Fountain/Astrowave, ICONYC/Hydrogen and many more.
His own tracks which are supported by such big bombs like Hernan Cattaneo, Marcelo Vasami,Guy Mantzur, Frangellico or Eelke Kleijn.
Daniel’s style can be described as a balance of lush grooves and warm synth sounds on the deep edge with some decent progressive hint.

Underground Ticket már gyerekkorában beleszeretett az elektronikus zenébe, és élete korai szakaszában kezdte gyűjteni a kazettákat és CD-ket. A vibráló hangok és dallamok elvarázsolták őt, és nem telt el sok idő, hogy ő maga is részese legyen ennek a világnak. 11 évesen már első házibuliját szervezte meg, ahol a lemezlovas szerepébe csöppent. Az akkori kedvencek, mint a Brooklyn Bounce, Scooter és az In Da House válogatások, csak megerősítették abban, hogy az elektronikus zene az, amit élete végéig követni fog.

Ahogy évek teltek el, a helyi disco lehetőséget adott neki, hogy kipróbálja magát a DJ pult mögött. A fények, hangok és a technikai berendezések összjátéka lenyűgözte, és tudta, hogy a zene és az elektronika iránti érdeklődése valódi elhivatottsággá válik. A helyi rezidens DJ-k munkáját figyelve pedig tovább táplálta ezt az elkötelezettséget.

Az évek során Underground Ticket és barátai elkezdték szervezni a saját bulikat a fiatalok számára, és a zenei repertoárjuk fokozatosan átterelődött a feszesebb Tech House és Techno dallamok felé. Privát rendezvények, saját szervezésű események és környékbeli klubok rezidens DJ-je lett. A 2010-es években Dunaújvárosban két klubban is rezidensként tevékenykedett, és az ország különböző pontjairól is kapott felkéréseket kisebb klubokban való fellépésre. Ebben az időszakban kezdett el zeneírással is foglalkozni, és elképesztő visszajelzéseket és támogatásokat kapott, beleértve olyan neves DJ-k támogatásait is, mint Hernan Cattaneo, Marcelo Vasami, Guy Mantzur, Max Graham és sok más nagy név.

Az évtized végén Underground Ticketnek lehetősége nyílt fellépni olyan neves DJ-kkel, mint Danny Howells, Dave Seaman és Anthony Pappa. Azóta is rendszeresen szerepel Budapesten és az ország különböző részein található bárokban és klubokban, ahol zenéjével továbbra is a közönség szívét dobogtatja.

Underground Ticket zenei pályafutása nemcsak egy egyszerű karrier, hanem egy szenvedély által vezérelt életmód. Az elektronikus zene által megtalálta azt, amit szeret, és amit szenvedéllyel űz. A bulik és a klubok világában való otthona megteremtette azokat a pillanatokat, amelyeket soha nem felejt el, és amelyek az ő zenéje által válnak felejthetetlenné a többi rajongó számára is.
