The eyes that deceive us and the sound that's beneath us.

The eyes and ears, two of the most acute senses, can be deceptive in their ways. The eyes can show us illusions and visual tricks, causing us to see things that are not there. On the other hand, sound can be manipulated to create an alternate reality or disguise its trustworthy source. The idea of the eyes and ears deceiving us speaks to the concept that perception is not always reality and that our minds can be tricked into believing false information. This can have positive and negative implications, from creating art to spreading misinformation. Ultimately, it highlights the importance of being critically aware of our sensory experiences and questioning what we see and hear to truly understand the world around us.

Bio/
After an awakening experience listening to the last song of a bird genus native to Hawaii, Moho takes inspiration from endangered and extinct species to create deep and hypnotic sound journeys.

"The doors of Barcelona's metro close. It's hot, it's summer, and the sultriness perspires. The sound of construction works fills the streets as tourists stroll by. I head downhill. The scent of a market, terraces filled with cold beers on tables, and children playing with water balloons in the park. And suddenly, the sea. The smell of salt and the breeze caressing my face. An infinite horizon and peace."

Kazumi Sakoda (@kazumisakoda) is a Japanese artist currently based in Barcelona, who investigates sound through gathering samples from the city streets. She is curious and inspired to blend landscapes, as if to create a bridge between her past and present home. Interested in the auditory differences gathered between Barcelona and her home city of Tokyo, Kazumi meticulously hand-transfers her collections of sound to analogue cassettes, where she is able to recontextualize, loop and transform her recordings into musical compositions which blur the boundaries of noise, ambient and experimental music.
