To move to a new city is to have the chance to live many things for the first time. Of all of them, the Front Republic festival was without a doubt the highlight of my move to Montreal. The people, the freedom, the music and everything in-between has made dreams become reality and vice-versa.

This is a recording of the set I played opening the stage on Saturday afternoon under perfect sunshine and scenery ☀️ Dancers, swimmers and beautiful souls of all kinds gathered to kickoff the second day. This set explores deeper and transcendental sounds while remaining warm and inviting for the afternoon.

I am beyond grateful to have been part of this festival and community, hats off to the FrontRite crew for making this possible. Whether it's for music or to hand out grilled cheeses you can count on me to be there in 2023 ❤️ Until then, see you on a dancefloor in Montreal or Quebec!

For our 124th episode of So It Goes Radio, we're excited to have Pedro Capelossi back for his second guest mix.  The Brazilian born - Spaniard naturalized, Barcelona based artist has forged a distinctive sound which focuses on inventive use of atmosphere and rhythm, drawing the lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula.

Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas has been a primary vehicle for Pedro's far-reaching work, with additional projects via Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Madloch’s Sound Avenue among other specialized labels such as Loot Recordings, TOR (When We Dip) and Hoomidas Records highlighting his resume.

REFRACTION Podcast Series #11 - Pedro Capelossi

Giuliano Rodrigues is a renowned Brazilian DJ and music producer, widely recognized for his significant contributions to the Dub Techno genre. Born with an innate passion for music, Giuliano channeled his talent and creativity to craft a unique and captivating sound that deeply resonates with genre enthusiasts.

In 2012, Giuliano founded his first digital label, **Flowing Movement Music**. Through this label, he not only promoted his own music but also elevated the profile of numerous other artists within the genre. His commitment to sonic excellence and dedication to cultivating a vibrant community of Dub Techno producers and fans have solidified his position as a central figure in the music scene.

In 2020, amid the pandemic, he launched **DUBGIU**, followed by **Afterdub** in 2023 and **DUBLUCID** in 2024—all focused on deep tech, deep house, minimal, and, of course, Dub Techno.

Giuliano has also released tracks on **Lucidflow**, a label founded by Nadja Lind and Helmut Ebritsch, also known as Klartraum. The duo has produced remixes of Giuliano’s tracks, showcasing mutual respect and collaboration within the Dub Techno community. Two of Giuliano’s songs were even played at the iconic **Burning Man** festival. Giuliano also had the opportunity to remix Klartraum's track *"Manifestation"*, which has garnered over 60,000 plays on Spotify.

Additionally, Giuliano was featured on the popular YouTube channel **GENTLEMAN**, which boasts over 400,000 subscribers. In a dedicated video, GENTLEMAN selected ten tracks released by Giuliano under DUBGIU and created a one-hour set featuring his music. The channel also added two of his tracks to its top Spotify playlists.

Giuliano’s music portfolio extends to **Superordinate Dub Waves**, founded by Nae:Tek. He has collaborated with Nae:Tek on several tracks, demonstrating his versatility and ability to synergize with other artists. Most recently, Giuliano released new music on **Piranha Siberia Dub**, continuing to contribute fresh and innovative sounds to the Dub Techno scene.

Through these platforms and collaborations, Giuliano Rodrigues continues to solidify his reputation as a prolific and influential figure in Dub Techno, constantly pushing the genre's boundaries and connecting with a global audience.

Currently, with countless remixes, singles, compilations, and his entire body of work focused on Dub Techno, Giuliano has centralized all his releases under one label: **DUBLUCID**.

With a producer career that spans almost a decade, Pedro Capelossi has quickly emerged from Spain's avant-garde electronic music landscape.

In 2023 he founded his own musical imprint REFRACTION RECORDS, representing some of the world’s most avant-garde visual artists, designers and musicians. Blurring the boundaries between house, techno and its closely related derivatives, REFRACTION operates with an inherent understanding of the principles set out by electronic music’s greatest innovators.

On his home turf of São Paulo he was responsible for important nightlife projects such as UNIK ID, hosting artists like Nick Warren and Cid Inc, as well as the PROGRESSION nights held at one of the most important clubs in Brazil - D.EDGE, supporting world-renowned guest artists all year round.

Pedro's DJ performances focus on underground electronic music, especially dub house and dub techno, deep house, minimal and downtempo. His versatility to move between different styles depending on audience and event, allows him to perform club gigs same as festivals.
