Æ Recordings LTD is a brand-new offshot from its legendary Thule Records motherhub – under the strict control of veteran Thule members: Ohm & Octal Industries. The offshot will ensure quality techno for the mind and soul from Thule members and friends – wherever they might be.  

Oculus is one of the titans of the Icelandic techno scene and has been one of its key foundations for over a decade. His live shows have captivated the audience with his exemplarary mixture of deep, innovative and hypnotic techno. His productions skills are unquestionable and we‘re excited to bring you four techno anthems ready to conquer the late night dancefloors.    

Nostalgia is a nod to the older days. Subtle blend of hypnotic mysticism and Detroit-style techno – a instant afterhours anthem! Rydgad is a handy tool for the DJs who love to throw a little swag to their crowd. Its minimal, but still offers a lot of little tricks to make the room work. Morph gets dark and twisted - with Oculus‘s hypnotic voice reassuring the listener in his native tongue that the he is the all-seeing eye of the Icelandic techno scene. The EP ends with the minimalistic mind-twister of „Flod“ – completing the first odyssey of Æ Recordings LTD.

As the summer draws to a close, electronic music releases, no doubt, will get just a little more melancholic and gray, to signify the arrival of fall moods.  But before we shift our minds to sweaters, hot tea, bourbon, and rain, it is almost therapeutic to reflect on the passing summer and release our carefree summer attitude from our soul.  Need a soundtrack for this summer soul purge? I invite you to give Cai Bojsen-Möller's Whirling a listen..or a whirl…it is a perfect companion to the fading summer: warm but not happy, gently breezy but not windy, refreshing but not quite a cold beer during a heat wave.  With its flowing (or whirling) synth lines, relaxed pacing, rhythm more implied than stated, the track washes over you gently like the cooling sea, gently touching but never really enveloping you with its aura.  And when the track is over, you'll most certainly reach for a sweater.  It is the perfect final chord in this summer's symphony.

In this new edition, we present the work done by the trio of the city of Rosario, under the alias of EMPATHIC DECAYING FREQUENCY, led by Franco Cinelli, together with two great local artists: Esteban Gutierrez and Lazzade (David Lazzarin).

Their casual studio sessions have resulted in this new edition of the label, essential to carry in your bag and adaptable to any situation of expression.

The album, with the title "Sudden Encounter" EP, demonstrates a modern sound, capable of going through a fusion of styles, from environmental breaks and down tempo to electro. Probably one of the best works of these DJs and producers from Rosario, who have shown us their permanent evolution with this delicate presentation.

About today’s artist: 

Bristol-based Londoner Hannd (aka Han Dopkins) first discovered the world of electronic music at the age of 13 with the early Dubstep era, finding a love for new and exciting underground dance music. Following that passion throughout his youth when learning how to produce/write music and soon enough discover the art of DJ'ing.

His love for music has progressed and continued with a determination to explore genres in an open-minded and adventurous manner, fusing styles of music in his productions to see what can be created without following any set path.

His EP on Raw Paper Records entitled u'4u, welcomed a step away from his Disco and House oriented Han Dopkins alias, and saw a darker and more emotive response to the underground dance music scene which he has been following ever since.

Since then he has gone on to form his own record label, Comma Traxx (as well as the Comma Collective). A label which follows a similar dynamic to Hannd's music mentality, to think outside the box and explore the music we already know and take it further. In March 2020 - he also founded a new platform - Border Recordings.
