This is my Covid Project.
Up until recently I reckon I was the only person on the planet not to have experienced the dreaded virus!
Anyway, I finally caught it while trying to record this song. All fairly mild but it lingered a while, and affected my voice a bit. 
This song has been knocking around for so long now I haven't the heart to do any more re-recording :) So ........ up it goes.
PS all better now ....... eventually!

It's been a while since I've written/ recorded anything in an acoustic latin style (I've been obsessed with bossa nova for years)- so here goes ............ it may be a little more Ilfracombe than Ipanema, but hope you enjoy :)

This is the last in the Cloudlines series (Just realised I've been putting this collection together for more than 6 years!) 
A dreamlike series of ambient instrumentals featuring warm melodies, acoustic guitars (both nylon and steel strung), heavily processed electric guitars and a shimmering wash of synths.
A mix of the familiar, the nostalgic and the experimental.

Cloudlines No'12 (The Last)

Ages ago, while trawling Spotify, I stumbled on this song by Luke Doucet, a Canadian singer - songwriter(and great guitarist!). 
I immediately loved the guitar part and the lyrics.
It seemed like it would be fun (and a challenge) to learn the song - just guitar and voice, and upload it between bigger projects. Hoping I've done it justice :)

What do you get when you combine 80s synthesizers, lounge and the music from the background of the television guide? You get Smooth Plan, the first single from the in-progress EP "Ideas and Innovations", a throwback inspired by the chilled out sounds of Library Music circa 1988 to 1992.
