Reading back on comments when on music that ways made years ago is walk part of the journey as I continue to learn how to make music. One of my personal is in life.

@david-dunhamuser589535203  I totally agree. I don't have an abundance of days left. At the end of each day it's important to look back at it and see what value you created. Every moment counts. As kids we couldn't wait until we were adults and make our own decisions. Now I'd love to spend a week as a five year old kid, playing kickball outside with the neighborhood kids. Good memories.

@alonge-boluwatifeww Melodies are important. I've been writing music for 50 years. We can talk if you want, but writing would be better. I'm not well. I have ALS and among other things it is taking my voice. Playing my piano is difficult but it is the one thing that keeps me going. It keeps my determination to live strong. This is music for the chapter titled "The Value of a Letter" in the book being written "Inside the Forbidden Outside' due out by the end of the year.  The book is about the life of Jamie Cummings, who has been incarcerated for for 14 years - a gentle man with epilepsy who has never been allowed to touch his son even one time.  The book is about the injustice and racism of our prison system in the US.

Silence Is So Loud

My music pieces are all piano improvisations expressing emotions. It is music telling stories without the words. In my earIy years I sang and played piano in piano bars or fronted bands of different styles, from country to heavy metal and to 40. I've been composing, teaching and performing most of my life.  I'm getting old(er) now 😔 but the great thing about creating music is it gets better the longer you play, and you have more to write about! 

This is what I leave of me to my generations to come who wonder where their desire to make music comes from. My mother, grandmother and great grandmother were both accomplished pianists when they were young. My son is also exceptional.  My great grandmother and gr grandfather sang and danced in minstrel shows (vaudeville) in the early 1900's. Kids today have no idea what life was like before moving pictures.  I now have great-grandchildren. They will know who I am through my music. When I am gone my music will still be here. What a wonderful thought!
