I had the honour of opening for Delta Heavy in Brisbane last night (30.4.23). I wanted to play a set of deep dnb - highlighting both the beautiful and ugly sides of the genre, whilst at the same time gradually increasing the energy and getting the dance floor ready for the main support acts. I'm so happy with how this set went down, and genuinely love opening up a rave. I hope you enjoy the mix as much as I did making it.

Re:Circulation is a new mix series which will feature older tunes that either never made it onto a Body&Soul mix, or classics that did but I want to revisit and revive them by mixing them with different tracks, and also there will be a few new tunes (mostly when none of the tunes in my library will fit!). Circulation was the first Body&Soul mix, so the title seemed fitting lol. I have a good bit of tunes that just didn't fit in (it's the land of misfit tunes!) and kind of got left on the backburner, but they're great tunes, so they aren't "rejects" lol. FYI! This time around I also included some older tunes that were recently re-released on a comp (tunes I missed originally). Enjoy the mix. Having spent the better part of the past decade chasing basslines in dank warehouses all across the United States, the Southern-bred drum & bass artist known as Soothslayer has finally come into her own with her own addictive take on the genre. Known to her friends as Caroline Miller, this die hard junglista originally found her way to the 174 bpm mark via downtempo and trip hop, with well received compositions and productions that fuelled a love for epic atmospheres and wall-trembling basslines.

Having relocated in 2008 from North Carolina to Los Angeles, Soothslayer quickly became a name to be reckoned with as the West Coast scene welcomed her with open arms and she fell in with a like-minded crew of bass lovers. Having represented for some of SoCal's finest, Soothslayer has flexed her skills on the decks for Timeless Drum and Bass, Splat Media's Big Booty Bass, Camp Trip, Outerbass, and Insomniac's own Bassrush crew. Dropping jaws and working the crowd into a frenzy at her first festival debut in 2016 at Nocturnal Wonderland, there's no doubting that Soothslayer has found her calling and is here to slay!
