Fresh off the back of a first Metalheadz appearance at the end of 2021 we're happy to announce the debut EP from Jaise.

Based in Western Australia, Jaise's production career is only just beginning but his involvement in drum and bass goes back more than 25 years. Intent on carving his own niche in the current landscape, Jaise strives to get the balance right, conveying light and dark tones throughout his music.

For his first 4-tracker Jaise does exactly that, drawing on elements of jazz and fusion for 'Backwards Step' whilst taking a heavy plunge into early 2000s themed darkness for 'The Client'. With all the key components laid bare, Jaise conjures up a superb debut EP brimming with elegance and natural ability.

The Twilight EP is another example of his excellent production abilities, showing off his deeper, and edgier side, while staying true to his roots.  The title track, “Twilight,” hits the drop and takes off with its rolling drums, gritty mid bass stabs, slick fx sounds, and rolling 808 bassline.  The track morphs into a deep Liquid groove when the lush piano chords and Rhodes piano arpeggiation sounds are introduced to the track.  This one’s an instant classic of a roller that screams BLADE!  “You Can’t Fix This,” is up next and also highlights Blade’s signature rolling drums, 808 bassline, soaring pad samples, and heartfelt vocals. Anyone who has ever visited Brooklyn will have seen its wide mix of cultures, ethnicities, and renowned musicians living within some of the most historic neighbourhoods in the world. It’s birthed many great MC's and artists of all genres, one of those being T.R.A.C.

Recognised internationally throughout his career as one of Americas top flight mic handlers, T.R.A.C. has shared stages with an ever growing list of A-class DJs such as LTJ Bukem, Roni Size, and Goldie (to name a few). Whether it’s his silky smooth verses, or his drive to deliver meaningful lyrical messages, T.R.A.C. is artist who has been quietly putting his American stamp on the UK D&B scene. None more so than with the release of his debut D&B album in 2017, Life in Motion, which boasted an impressive list of features including the likes of Calibre, Serum, Lenzman and Bladerunner. Four years on, we’re proud to unveil ‘Life In Remixes’.

The remix project sees another huge roll call, thirteen A-Listers put their spin on the original album including the likes of Benny L, Artificial Intelligence, Need For Mirrors and L-Side.
