As promised, here's my new mix! Liquid drum and bass has been one of my favorite genres for years now so it was about time to make the first long dnb mix for the channel. The mix concentrates on the same melodic and smooth side of drum and bass I mainly feature on the channel. Not much else to say about it other than I love all the tracks, some of them were found in the early days of the channel while others were found just recently but will be played over and over again.

Drum & bass heavyweights Serum, Voltage and Bladerunner, aka Kings Of The Rollers have entered the ring once again to deliver a 4-track smasher. Pushing the boundaries of D+B to the ropes, ‘The Main Event’ EP is a flawless infusion of each individual style, creating the perfect storm.

A certified knockout D+B banger with an epic introduction that has been doing damage in raves worldwide, ‘XXX’ kicks off the EP with intriguing synth plucks and a sweeping yet powerfully subtle bassline. Next up is the Circuits Rewire of ‘Burnt Ends’, a deeper take from Kasra & InsideInfo of the iconic tearout bruiser. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any darker, the latest rendition of the game-changing roller packs new punches with twisted melodies and a thumping bassline from these deep D+B standouts.

The elegant piano melodies and the angelic notes of Lydia Plain on ‘Somebody Else’ ease the listener into the second half of ‘The Main Event’. This time he drops his impressive debut EP on Soul Deep.  The laid back vibes of “Take A Look Around,” kicks things off, featuring fluttering keys, snappy drums and soothing rhodes chords.  The track takes an unexpected turn at the drop and unleashes an undeniable dancefloor groove.  “A Place Where I Belong,” is up next and features sultry Rhodes keys, soulful female vocals, and some popping drums that provide the perfect punch to the track.  “Next To Me,” is up next and is highlighted by it’s smooth Rhodes chords, deep sub bassline, and echoing efx.  “Transition Sequence,” rounds out the EP is style with it’s smooth pads, analog mid bass sounds, and rolling drums that anchor things down.  Overall, Marcus Tee paints a picture of where he’s going with his production style, creating his own place where he belongs.
