Sad Bird Song

Cliff Swallows, Petrochelidon pyrrhonota, are garrulous, squeaky, clanky, just all-around awesome little birds. Highly social birds that often live in massive colonies, they nest in cracks and crevices in cliff walls --  hence their name -- making their homes out of mud and sticky spit. Yum.

Often "singing" from the entrance of their home, close recording is extremely difficult. This short collection were captured with a parabolic, isolated, and processed clean for sound effects' use.

Saturated (disquiet0602)

I chose "gestalt" as my word for this challenge; the idea of the whole being more than the sum of its parts.

Three Sampleson Meta Pianos playing the same melody, only the first plays the melody over 4 bars, the second plays the same melody but over 3 bars, and the third plays it over 2.5 bars. As the rounds continue an echo and reverb are brought to bear.
