"Lullaby for April" Elevator/Background Music

The Space Cadet Orchestra performs a wonderful tone poem by one of the greatest composers of the 20th century. Kurt Donald Cobain (1967-1994) wrote his lyrical masterpiece "Drain You" in the summer of 1990 while he was in a relationship with his then-girlfriend Debbie Shane. The piece is programmatic by nature, and it tells the tale of two young and rambunctious partners who have been reduced to a state of absolute, pure innocence by the power of their love. Cobain was once quoted to have said that the song made him think of "two brat kids who are in the same hospital bed."
