Such an incredible mix – my favourite in a while. I actually bought the print first, so am glad the mix more than lived up.

Cousin is the founder of Moonshoe Records and is a talented producer who tends to focus on creating delicate soundscapes reflective of abstract environments and worlds.

His music is deep and pensive, at times club focussed yet at others anything but.

Over the past few years he has self released material on Moonshoe alongside records on the likes of Mood Hut and Well Street Records. His music has been supported broadly and his dj sets are versatile and multi faceted in respect to style and genre.

Cousin’s remarkable discography and dedication solidify him as a trendsetter in ambient techno and electronics. This mixtape offers a brief insight into his own taste and outlook when it comes to dance music – dubby, dusty and atmospheric throughout it really is quite the trip and is perfect as we approach the cold nights of winter and those dark early rises.

As our trajectory accelerates head-first into another year, it’s more important than ever to slow down and catch your breath. As automatic as that may seem, I’m talking more about the metaphorical meaning of breath aka a self-imposed moment of peace and quiet. To comprehend such a thing nowadays it’s crucial to have a soundtrack, and this episode of FHUO from the Daisy Records crew is the perfect accompaniment to refill the oxygen tanks. Frankifettucini & Obelix have created something truly special in this two-hour time frame, a magical trip through the sky, hopping from cloud to cloud, chasing a never-ending sunset. 

This mix is a true masterclass in immersion, which is what you would expect from two music nuts who run an incredible record store, as well as releases under the Daisy Records sub-label and curated events that really showcase what Naarm has to offer. This particular time we have Prague-based magician Sasha Nevolin offering up a beautiful mixed bag of pure audible nourishment. Sasha delivers a pinball machine approach to an organised pandemonium-esque operation, bouncing around between all states of being with an overarching deep sense of joy. An expert architect in building immersive experiences in all senses of the word, Dream Software blends sonic and visual elements to generate altered states in onlookers. Known for downtempo and trance leaning sounds with an optimistic undertone, Dream Software joined me live on PBS on the 5th April 2024 to take us on an encyclopaedic journey of classic ambient trance from the 90s and beyond.

This wonderfully subtle and moving collaboration between dj and musical curator Louis McCoy ( @louis_mccoy ), and visual artist Jaime Brohier ( jaimebrohier.com )was recorded and created live a Cam’s Kiosk in November 2023 as part of our event ‘I’m not the body, I’m not even the mind’.

After two previous quality RNR, punk, metal mixes, he has this time been diving into a more spiritual and easygoing vibe, and exploring some outernational rhythms and grooves. Shifting between organic and electronic sounds. Still with the characteristic vintage RNR touch, but musically exploring different territories.

To commemorate our recent tenth birthday we have a special one hour mix by our dear friend Vladimir Ivkovic. Vlad has been a great champion of the gun over the years and has supported us in every endeavour over the years. If you have been lucky enough to catch one of his six or seven hour Gun sets, you will know how special they are. when he plays, we always leave the pub knowing why we do this, as its always so special. Whatever the blend of styles, you always know you are listening to a Vlad set.. his ability to coerce the sounds into something larger and fabulously textured  is unrivalled, in our opinion.
So we are very pleased to be able to share with you this trimmed down mix from the man himself (Thanks Vlad). Trying to explain music is pointless when you can just listen, so i will sign off with that.. and cheers to all of you who come to well street and continue to support us.

Ten Years of The Gun - A mix by Vladimir Ivkovic

Phuong-Dan`s sets are a hypnotizing, compelling mixed bag of rhythms and influences. Consistently exploring moods by jumping back and forth between musical fields with some sort of defiant approach. He combines gigs all over the world with project specific works and musical programming. A good example of the latter are the Gatto Musculoso nights he hosts at Golden Pudel Club in Hamburg since 2006, which through the years have seen artists of every shape and size. Since 2021 he runs dispari – a label and platform for all kinds of auditory publications, collaborations and performances at various places.

Bakk Heia Podcast No.1 - Vladimir Ivkovic (Live at The White Hotel) 

We begin our podcast series with a recording from one of the great DJs of our time, Vladimir Ivkovic, playing the final 3 hours of Bakk Heia at The White Hotel in May 24. 

In typical Vlad fashion there is a distinct and unique narrative quality to the mix. Whilst genre defying psychedelia churns into spikey IDM, and wailing post punk iterations flow into mainline acid stomp, there is an over arching sense of tenderness to the selection. Vlad told us after the lights came on that it was his intention to hold and take care of us that night. Transforming the spiralling chaos of the club environment to one which nurtures, rather than obliterates, our frenzied minds.

Space Cast is a not-for-profit arts initiative that aims to connect and support local artists through a synaesthetic exploration of music and art. Space Cast was established in 2020 as a digital offering of curated visual art and sound collaborations and has since evolved into a showcase of events and exhibitions.  

Space Cast has a focus on ambient, downtempo and experimental music and abstract art. The project aims to explore ideas of space and stillness, connection, slowing down and the innate connection between two these two creative fields. 

Space Cast operates to support diverse and emerging artists financially, foster a creative community and facilitate thoughtful collaboration. Each visual outcome is available to purchase online as a limited edition print, with the profits going directly back to the artists.

Space Cast acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we create, the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation and we pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.
