Eastern Daze aims to explore the current political and social status quo in some of the countries in CEE region through the eyes of the ones most vulnerable to changes in society – young artists who are still under-the-radar. It’s not going to be a patronizing Western view on “hip” Eastern Europe (perhaps in a futile search for an ounce of authenticity) - namely because we come from the East ourselves. The project aims not only to raise the awareness about up-and-coming – mainly experimental and electronic sonic – artists in the West, but – perhaps even more importantly - to increase the strikingly low informedness and foster cooperation between the Eastern artistic scenes themselves.

FF`SPACE opens a kind of platform for some contemporary generative and algorithmic approaches in arts of sounds, visuals, design or micro-software development.
 
- First Frequency Space - is not a constant conclusion of this platform to the first level of something. But it is an abstract explanation of a feeling of some process direction of continued transformation. The information is like “it was the first wave or it was the first vibration of frequency before the moment when whole transformation was applied” or some kind of emotion like “there was the first oscilation before of something was born”. Feeling is like a “turning face” which could be just one with such a kind of fixed parameters. And in process of perception of transformations this perform again, one Space is replaced by another, with its own First Frequency.
- Frame Fragmented Space is just some abstract space with frames and fragments in between. Each frame in this abstract space could have it`s own fragment`s character after the first frequensy. And each fragment of this space can be divided on sub-frames whose characters automatically become after the First Frequency`s sub-fragments.

Insomnia project came into being in the summer of 2005 as an initiative of two friends: Adam Mańkowski and Łukasz Modrzejewski. The very first sounds created together and everything what emerges at present under the auspices of Lodz’s duo express the vast immensity of music and cinematic inspirations absorbed with extraordinary passion, interpreted and reviewed by both of the musicians. The project’s musical features consolidates subtile ambient sounds with synthetic pop spiced sometimes with warm beats or cool breeze of electronic and minimalistic sounds from the field of drone/dark ambient. What can also be found here is a lot of modern electronic and minimalistic sounds. The first album, which was spotted in the internet media and sparse alternative broadcasting stations and entitled Places, was released in 2010. Being a kind of music journey back to the childhood, this album gained a lot of favourable reviews thanks to its specific romantic climate and graphic art. The year 2011 is marked by the Insomnia return after long months of hard work upon the new music material. Next album of the project – Shadows and Mists released in 2011 met even with a warmer welcome which can be seen in numerous reviews. Music of Shadows and Mists is mainly inspired by silent movies. Title video clip was created (link below) from the different parts of classical silent movies.
At present Insomnia are working on a new album which will be released in 2013. At the same time the Insomnia musicians are embarking on another experimental project – Extreme Agony.

We do not know what segregation means. We mix genres. Ambient, I.D.M. Glitch do not mean anything. Images, events, photographs, journeys and meetings leave a sonic trace on our records. We publish things we love.

WEFREC publishes music with the highest available quality. We treat all sound nuances we publish very seriously. We publish our sounds in the best available format, usually WAV, WAV24, FLAC. The standard listening format is mp3 320 kbps. We also publish our albums that way. If you are interested in mobile light format or you are interested in free bonus materials, we will deliver them to you using that form. Albums which are mostly downloaded are also published in a exclusive digipack or vinyl version – special editions, which we hope, will decorate a demanding collection. We strongly believe that this means the highest level of satisfaction with our music and images which illustrate it.
