Idris (the navigator) joins the crew of a salvage ship (the Vulture God). They take on a contract for the retrieval of particular ship, only to find it has been ripped part by The Architects... 

All guitar parts were played on a Duesenberg Paloma using an attack synth pedal.

La Bacchiana brasileira n°5 de Heitor Villa Lobos  a été et reste pour moi un chef d'œuvre d'une puissance émotionnelle inouie. Aussi, quand je m'aperçus que la mélodie de mon dernier morceau commençait inconsciemment par les deux premiers accords de la mélodie de Villa Lobos, j'avais deux solutions : soit mettre à la poubelle mon petit morceau ( dont le degré de valeur musicale face à la musique de ce génie est à peu près l'équivalent de la taille d'une puce par rapport à celle d'une baleine à bosse), soit me dire qu'après tout, si cela donnait envie à l'auditeur de découvrir ou de réécouter l'œuvre de Villa Lobos, cela ne serait peut-être pas peine perdue. Aussi pour rendre à César - en l'occurrence au musicien brésilien - ce qui lui est dû, j'ai conservé le morceau, mais l'ai encadré d'une référence directe à la mélodie de la Bacchiana, un peu simplifiée pour pouvoir être jouée au piano.

I dedicate this composition to everyone who’s lost their course in life for a moment.
A riptide is a narrow channel in a sandbank where the water rushes strongly out to sea.
And to get out of it you have to do something that feels very unnatural: first let yourself be carried along, and only then swim left or right, back to calmer water and the shore. I think that’s a beautiful image for how we can sometimes deal with life.

      This was my first Christmas song written in 2000, it was sung beautifully by Sharri Hobbs with Charlie Isler and myself on backing vocals. It's a good sing-a-long type of Christmas song and Sharri nailed it in one take! She has a tremendous and beautiful voice! This is a new remixed version!, I remixed it back in 2022 along with a funky Christmas song I wrote called "Christmas Is Just Another Day Without You" which I'm dropping today as well on SoundCloud.
