London-based Gaptooth (aka Hannah Lucy) produces riot grrrl-inspired feminist electro-pop. She released her debut album 'Connections/Departures' in 2013, followed by the Pillow Fort EP in 2016, and is due to release her second album in Autumn 2019.

All songs written, performed and recorded by Seth Corbin in his bedroom on a 16-track Yamaha AW16G.

Statement Haircut win the Half Man Half Biscuit memorial prize for having my favourite band name in this list. That aside, this London trio are unlikely to be compared to the lads who shook the Wirral. Their bio highlights their eclecticism, noting that they’re influenced by dance, post-punk, funk, dub, and pop.

This disparate mess of genres comes together nicely, because Statement Haircut are essentially a pop band, albeit one that sounds like it might have been left for too long in the tumble dryer. Fans of music that avoids the easy hook and reaches for something interesting will enjoy their recent singles – try Rügen as a starting point.

An electonisch duo, they've called us anarcho-electro, eurotrash, completely nuts, and rather entertaining, but to us, we just tell our stories in fluent French-Cockney over beats and sounds. Songs about Good Girls, dodgy parties, les partouzes, found weekends, elephants, train drivers, fake nails, fake bollocks and Marmite.

DIE HEXEN is an Irish Academy Award-winning composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and sound artist, known for creating hypnotic, psychologically kinetic scores that blur the line between music and sound design. Their score for Fréwaka (2024) won “Best Original Music” at both the 2025 Irish Academy Awards and 2024 SITGES Film Festival, with The New York Times describing the music as sounding “like Satan’s playlist” and filmmaker Mike Flanagan (The Fall of the House of Usher) lauding its “wicked tone.” With comparisons to the likes of Mica Levi and Krzysztof Penderecki, critics have called their wider body of work "brilliantly indescribable" (Mark Kermode) and "arresting" (Variety).

Mentored by Grammy-winning engineer Geoff Foster, DIE weaves avant-garde orchestration and electronic textures throughout their work, with a sonic palette that spans Bronze Age horns, quartz crystal percussion, and the world’s only black Apprehension Engine (“The Nightmare Machine”). They are the first non-male to win the Irish Academy Award and SITGES for scoring a feature film.
