Entity BDS demos

15 minutes of Entity Bass Drum sounds.  The controls were varied at random to offer just a small sample of possible bass drum sounds. In this example, the envelope attack setting was mostly set at the fastest speed and the FM attenuator was set for positive CV for the majority of the demo.
The patch is simply a gate output from GateStorm going into the trigger input on Entity. No external CV modulation was utilized. The output was fed directly into Pro Tools via a LA-610 pre, flat EQ and no processing.

Entity Bass Drum demo 01

In this example we have one Entity BD doing a kick drum sound, which is largely left as is. The focus is on a second Entity BD doing a bass/lead line. We have the second module patched into the SSF/WMD Ultra Fold and MIIIIX, which is feeding the recording device. The +ENV output on the second Entity is patched into the Fold CV input on the Ultra Fold.
GateStorm is providing triggers for both Entities. The bass line is created by using two trigger sources from GateStorm into the main trigger input and the F_MIX input, used as an aux trigger input. We have set the timing and sound on the secondary triggers using the pulse width control on GateStorm. We can achieve a swing effect this way. 
This example highlights some effects achieved by changing the R/F envelope shape, resonance, saturation and FM levels on the bass/lead line. Just a bit of envelope stage timing was adjusted towards the end of the demo. This example helps demonstrate the playability and variations one can achieve in a live situation, for instance.

Entity BD Demo 02 -Entity meets UltraFold

Demonstration utilizing the F-MIX (Filter Input)on the Entity BDS. Here we have patched a sawtooth from the SSF/WMD Spectrum into the F-MIX input of Entity BDS. The Spectrum's pitch is controlled by the Ultra-Random Analog fed into a quantizer and finally into the v/oct input on Spectrum. The URA clock is feeding GateStorm, which is providing a simple trigger pattern that is patched into the Entity trigger input. The waveform is switched to a square wave around 7:45.
All of the controls on Entity BDS are adjusted arbitrarily throughout the demo.
