Secrets can be dangerous. They can also be fascinating and intriguing, and in this case they are both. What is it that we see? What is it that we hear? And does it become coloured by our preconceptions to make us perceive it in a certain way?

Väsen (Vaesen) is a sound installation in the park "Paradiset" in Vallastaden, Linköping, Sweden.
Jordbyggare (this particular sound) is actually a series of sub-sonic (below ca 120 Hz) short compositions that are played in outdoor-subwoofers in the park.  This particular sound file is a melody based on Stångån, a river running through Linköping. Other sounds include buses, traffic, people, singing, etc. Sounds that represent the city, according to the citizens.

If you can't hear anything, it is because you might be listening on speakers unable to produce any sound below 120 Hz.

Revelations

eyes like a flame of fire

As a part of the project Cities and Memory, I was invited to re-imagine a recording of cockerels and hens at Via Francesco Natoli on Stromboli, Italy. The rule was that I had to use the recording, but other than that I could do anything. This is what I imagined electronic music to be, if it was performed by the birds.

Hidden Birds

Rain have always been a source for inspiration, this particular rain was kind-of-rythmical and that inspired me to compose this short piece for (slightly extended) piano filled with melancholy and nostalgia. 

This piece was created as a part of the large project Future Cities curated by Stuart Fowkes.

a long-time and long-term goal for humans has been and perhaps still is to become something more, to learn more, to become better, and strive toward heaven, enlightenment, nirvana or the like. in a way, this music depicts the journey that is perhaps possible to take towards this betterment as a person and as a group of humans.

the music is both ambient, electroacoustic and containing drones, but also, since it is in many cases made from voices, keep a very human and tactile quality to it.
some may find it soothing; some may find it disturbing and some might find the hidden story that lies within enchanting.
