Nordstern stands for extraordinary clubbing since the turn of the millennium, a place for demanding, urban people. An international, outstandingly networked hotspot for electronic music. A platform, visited by globally renowned artists.

The lower deck of the converted cargo ship is a land of milk and honey for clubbers with high expectations. Nordstern has been running for 20 years and has found its final home on this ship, a home that was first completely gutted and then outfitted with a ''room in a room'' concept to ensure perfect acoustics.

This is where the who-is-who of the international club music scene streams in and out, and thanks to the cooperation with L-Acoustics and WSDG, two world-renowned companies in the field of sound, a space for unique acoustic experiences has been created. Nothing is obsolete, everything is not what you say, but how you say it.

It was in 2005 were Miss Peel - who was born in Zurich and now lives in Basel - decided to not only dance in front of the turntables but to give it a shot at playing her own records. Shortly after she and a few friends founded the party labels "Diskowürste" and "Röcke Rocken" - gaining first experiences in organising parties in Basel. 

For example the "Lunatic Electronic" nights where Miss Peel played alongside S-Biene and Herzschwester at the "Erlkönig" on the NT Areal were quite legendary. She also enjoyed playing at the "Funambolo" - a temporary set up tent where especially local DJ's came together to play in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. It's exactly those kind of small and special places she prefers to big overloaded clubs. 

One could describe Miss Peel's sound as sometimes playful, sometimes dark or even Disco but always bass-oriented, just making you want to dance.

bio:
Michel knows the nightlife since the early days of electronic music. He grew up in Basel, Switzerland and started djing at the age of 15. In the beginning he was entirely into trance music and build up his own studio, released very successful trance records which gave him the opportunity to play at renowned clubs and festivals in Switzerland. In the late 2000s he changed his style to Melodic Techno and at the same time one of his best friends took over the Basel club Nordstern. This was leading to Michel’s residency and with his broad musical knowledge and skills for crafting stand-out sets, he knows how to cast a spell over the crowd. He likes to get into different genres because it’s more creatively challenging. He plays so many different genres in one set, but it always sounds like Michel Sacher! He has also played several times at Hï Ibiza and at the beautiful PlayaSoleil beach club, for the "All I Need" label party, hosted by Andrea Oliva. Michel also released renowned tracks on Monaberry, Citifox, Klimaks or Miniload Rec. He is a fix part of the Nordstern family since more than a decade now. There he is not to be excluded anymore and his legendary sets will remain an integral part for a long time to come.
