2018 ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop

This is an underscore cue from the short film 'The Sharktank Redemption', directed by Natalie Van Doren.  This is a live 45-piece orchestra, recorded at Capitol Studios. The short is a faithful parody of 'Shawshank', and was selected to appear as an extra feature on the 10th anniversary DVD release of that film.

Stephen Ridley is a composer and orchestrator based in Los Angeles. His music features niche percussion instruments and electronics, blended with the traditional orchestra. 

Stephen has written music for productions on the ABC and HBO television networks in the US, as well as for short and feature films. His concert works for percussion have enjoyed many performances, both domestic and international. Stephen received his Masters in Music Composition from UCLA, where he studied with the late, great Jerry Goldsmith.
