In a state where he is highly working on his physical and mental skills and trying to pretty much live at fullest in the present day, there is still this longing back for and into the 80s, influencing his actions ...

One fateful day, there is this one paper ad, this one thing, which changes ... everything!

Bio
In 2007 at age 63 Montrealer Peter Wheeler bought his first guitar. He then went to amazon.com and purchased a book called “How To Play The Guitar for Dummies”. Since then he hasn’t looked back. 

Sometimes serious - sometimes humorous Wheeler’s music seeks to re-capture the Classic Vibes  from the 70’s & 80’s. To best describe his music imagine Bob Dylan & The Doors meet The Clash & Leonard Cohen at the Hotel California & share a bottle of wine with Tarantino. Peter Wheeler is a poet - focusing all his energies into creating musical canvases to express his personal vision of the world surrounding him. 

For several years Peter was part of the local bar scene in the Greater Montreal area.  He performed as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for The Rock Roulette Band. His experiences giving live performances and continually improving his guitar playing has truly shown that you can teach an old dog new tricks.

In 2020 Peter teamed up with Johnny Vienneau, a multi- talented musician and Producer from Montreal and recorded his first album of cover songs called "Self Portrait".  https://soundcloud.com/peter-wheeler/sets/self-portrait-1

Today Peter continues to pursue his passion for The Arts by doing portraits of friends, family and people he greatly admires. In 2021 he became a re-born again environmentalist and his songwriting is now focused on increasing awareness of the climatic challenge facing the planet.

On Earth One, all of the music and lyrics are written by Dragonsail, aka Greg Hester. Likewise, all of the playing and vocal performances and recording and mixing are done by Dragonsail as well. But that's not as interesting as what's happening on Earth Two.

On Earth Two, these songs are created and performed by a scheming diva named Surrenda and her enthusiastic but clueless dog sidekick Bruce. Additional songwriting is provided by their septuagenarian feline keyboardist, Catatonia, and Onree - the sweet pup with the mean shaker. There's also some old geezers in the band who've been with Surrenda for a couple of decades who actually play real instruments, but they mostly loom in the shadows.

The range of styles in their music includes funk, psychedelia, hard rock, prog rock and disco, which they tear away at with whatever instruments and found objects they have stowed away with them aboard their ship, the Club Dragonsail.




Verdammt! Vor 25 Jahren wollte mich Peter Gabriel verklagen, weil ich unter meinem Namen Gabriel Musik machte (kein Witz). Inzwischen gibt es so viele mit dem Namen Gabriel, dass ich auf kaum einem Streaming-Portal mehr gefunden werden kann. Höchste Zeit also für einen neuen Namen! Es würde mich sehr freuen, wenn ihr mir weiter gewogen bleibt. Denn außer dem Namen ändert sich nichts.

Damn! Twenty-five years ago, Peter Gabriel wanted to sue me because I was making music under my name, Gabriel (no joke). Now there are so many people named Gabriel that I can hardly be found on any streaming portal. So it's high time for a new name! I would be very happy if you would continue to support me. Because apart from the name, nothing else is changing.
