"On the Edge of Adventure" was created by textile artist Doreen Caldwell and exhibited at the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum until 9th September.   Doreen says:  "I chose to make a boat full of jolly people because I think life is an adventure but we are all at sea and all in the same boat."

I agree wholeheartedly with Doreen.  We all face many challenges throughout our lifetime and we often need help from each other to get by.  In my song "All At Sea", I've imagined some of these challenges faced by some of the characters on our boat.

The captain turns the wheel,  strong winds fill the sails
The storm is rolling in,  chasing the white mares tails	
He steers us through the rain,  the breakers and the squalls	
He's looking for a safe landfall
