Sam Eagle is a British songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Receiving strong support from a growing fan base of music fans across the country, as well as BBC Introducing on BBC Radio 1, and BBC 6Music namely from Tom Robinson, with debut single '15/8' being chosen as 6Music ‘Tune of the Week’. In 2018 Sam and his live band performed at LATITUDE, The Great Escape Festival, as well as playing live radio sessions on BBC Radio 6Music (Tom Robinson), and Radio X (John Kennedy). 2019 saw Sam and band play SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas - leading to Sam signing to legendary indie label, Cooking Vinyl.

Nach langer Erkrankung habe ich mich dazu entschlossen alles auf die Karte Musik zu setzten. Ich mache deutschsprachigen Indie Pop – nachdenklich, rebellisch und treibend. Eingehüllt in ein Indie-Soundkleid treffen bei mir Folk inspirierte Gitarren-Riffs auf Trap ähnliche Beats. Die Texte sind geprägt durch mein turbulentes Leben: rau, direkt, persönlich und gesellschaftskritisch.

THE DAN THE D aka Dan Donovan launches his long awaited new project recorded at the infamous Californian desert studio of Rancho de la Luna in 2017. Accompanied by Jonny Quinn (Snow Patrol) on drums and Dave Catching (Eagles of Death Metal) on guitar. This unlikely combo offered new twists that complimented Donovan’s latest garage junkyard delta swamp blues offering.

Straw Bear formed slowly over a number of years, like sedimentary rock or a bad habit.

They took their name from the Whittlesey Straw Bear festival, the first event in the pagan calendar (available at all good newsagents).

Ian and Chris began recording in their native Cambridgeshire, before Tom, Pas and Cate were sucked into their swirling musical eddy.

But just as they had a full complement, the same violent forces of nature that brought them together rent them asunder and each found themselves flung to different parts of south-east England.

This hasn’t stopped them working on their second album. Black Bank is named after the Fenland road in which the album was recorded.

Straw Bear are immensely proud of the 12 songs that make up the record. Produced with the unwavering support of Chris Taylor of The Bays at his Blue Barn Studio, Black Bank is a more complex, nuanced album than their first.
