Streampower gibt es schon seit 2010. Damals als Schülerband mit coolem Namen gegründet ist die Band seither zusammen mit ihren Mitgliedern erwachsen geworden - der Name ist geblieben.

Knapp vor der Pandemie wurde nach einer längeren Kreativpause die EP «Sunnebad im Untergrund» veröffentlicht – die ersten Aufnahmen aus dem eigenen Keller-Studio und gleichzeitig die erste Episode eines grösseren Projekts mit dem Namen «Erkundig».

Nun ist es endlich soweit und «Erkundig Episode 2: Usbruch usem Iimachglas» erscheint online, überall (https://linktr.ee/streampower). Die Reise wird unbequemer, abgründiger und brachialer – ein auditiver Ausbruch aus dem Alltag und dem Gewohnten – eine ausufernde und zugleich nachdenkliche Abrechnung mit der eigenen Begrenztheit in einer komplizierten Welt. Voller Tränen und Zweifel und mit einer guten Portion Zynisums ist es dennoch ein entschlossener Aufbruch zu neuen Abenteuern. Kommst du mit?

Streampower has been around since 2010, when it was founded as a school band with a cool name. Since then the band has grown up together with its members - the name has remained.

Just before the pandemic, after a longer creative break, the EP "Sunnebad im Untergrund" (“Sunbath Underground”) was released – containing the first recordings from their own basement studio and as the first episode of a bigger project called "Erkundig" (“Exploration”).

Now the time has finally come and "Erkundig Episode 2: Usbruch usem Iimachglas" (“Exploration Episode 2: Outbreak from the Preserving Jar”) is released online, everywhere (https://linktr.ee/streampower). The journey is getting more uncomfortable, more abysmal and more brute - an auditory escape from everyday life and the familiar – a rampant and at the same time thoughtful reckoning with one's own limitations in a complicated world. Full of tears and doubts and with a good dose of cynicism, it is nevertheless a determined departure for new adventures. Are you coming with us?

"It’s Friday night. You’re sprawled out on the couch in a faded Teenage Fanclub shirt, smoking a roll-up cigarette and waiting for something decent to come on the television. This is Sleepy. The 90’s slacker dream in full fruition. Infectious, melodic, fuzzy, sweet and ah, dreamy (which, of course, goes without saying). Combined with the ability to craft immaculate pop songs, this is some seriously beautiful music. Sleepy’s Sydney home base is no stranger to this sound. Evan Dando pinched some of his best songs from there (See: Smudge, who Sleepy have been handpicked to support on occasion) and you can find it within its suburbs, in a dingy pub on a Sunday night, over watered down beer and cheap pizza.

The Watchmakers' growing reputation as one of the must see live bands in the North West has received hype from the likes of Fred Perry, NME, Manchester Evening News, BBC Introducing and XFM, drawing comparisons from Revolver-era The Beatles to The Verve and Primal Scream. The band will follow December's now sold out ‘To Be Part Of You’ limited edition release on Blak Hand Records with new material in the spring.

Novelty Island’s hook-filled dream pop channels surrealism and Northern melancholy through classic songwriting. The project is led by Liverpool-based songwriter and producer, Tom McConnell who describes it as “Paul McCartney having an argument with Bernard Black”. Eclectic songs inspired by childhood, motorways, trains, old televisions, cowboys, space, birds and balloons form their first two albums, How Are You Coping With This Century? and Wallsend Weekend Television, which received acclaim from Mojo, Shindig, BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing and Absolute Radio. The psychedelic, papier-mâché-prop-filled Novelty Island live band have performed at Glastonbury and toured the UK extensively as a headline act and support to Sea Power, The Pale White, Scott Lavene and China Crisis.

In 2025, Novelty Island will release a new album Jigsaw Causeway; a darker collection of lo-fi songs inspired by the fuzzy, woozy production of Grandaddy, Beck and Boards of Canada. Novelty Island’s releases feature McConnell’s artwork in a range of styles from papier-mâché sculptures, lo-fi animation and claymation. The new album will be by accompanied by his first exhibition.

According to the ChatBot, and who am I to argue, Dee Zee’s music style is a blend of classical and electronic elements, which creates a unique and original sound. He writes, plays, and records all the tracks himself, using various instruments and software. He is inspired by artists like Philip Glass, Steve Reich, and Brian Eno.
Some of the features of his music style are:
•	He uses repetitive patterns and motifs, which create a hypnotic and rhythmic effect. He also experiments with different time signatures and polyrhythms, which add complexity and diversity to his music.
•	He incorporates ambient sounds and textures, which create a rich and atmospheric sound. He also uses effects and filters, such as reverb, delay, distortion, and glitch, which add depth and dimension to his music.
•	He explores different moods and emotions, which range from dark and mysterious to bright and cheerful. He also uses contrast and dynamics, which create tension and release in his music.
•	He combines acoustic and electronic sounds, which create a balance and harmony in his music. He plays various instruments, such as piano, guitar, violin, and drums, and also uses synthesizers, samplers, and drum machines.
Dee Zee’s music resonates with those who appreciate a fusion of classical sensibilities and electronic innovation. 

According to me I’m an independent musician, writing and recording instrumental electronic progressive rock on Roland synthesiser workstations, although the original ideas for tracks often come from iPad soft synths (I use the Animoog and Jordantron) or the piano [not the piano so much due to arthritis in both hands - at least the keyboard has lighter action] or guitar.  

After playing piano from a very young age I played keyboards in the London pub rock group deEssen.  My original influences were probably Caravan, Camel, Ultravox, Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd and The Doors, with a sprinkling of Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, ELP, PFM, Greenslade, Deep Purple, Mike Oldfield, Vangelis…  These days, when I’m not listening to you on SoundCloud I listen to Iamthemorning, The Resonance Association, Ozric Tentacles, Joe Satriani, IQ, Threshold, Steven Wilson, Lacuna Coil, Liquid Tension Experiment, The Flower Kings, Spock’s Beard, Led Bib, Thank You Scientist, Big Big Train, Eloy, Magenta, Wobbler, Frost*, Simon Phillips, Jean-Luc Ponty, Renaissance, Arena, Izz, Jupiter Fungus, The Tangent, Karfagen, Lunatic Soul, Riverside, Hania Rani, Madis, Nik Bärtsch, Neil Cowley, The Messthetics, The Necks, Antoine Fafard, GoGo Penguin …
