The Metalheadz back catalogue features almost every major figure in the history of drum and bass, and is one of the most innovative labels out there, consistently crossing boundaries with its releases since 1994. The labels output continues to showcase a maturing genre of music that displays influences from reggae, hip-hop, house and techno with highly-sophisticated and intricately-produced tracks, contrary to the image of the music that is typically presented by the mass media.

Releasing music from some of the biggest names out there whilst at the same time pushing and letting new talent break through are the reasons why Metalheadz continues to stay at the forefront of electronic music.

The Metalheadz label was also the driving force behind the seminal Sunday Session Club Nights, which achieved legendary status at London's Blue Note club. Today, Metalheadz club nights are often sell outs with the label also regularly hosting stages at some of the biggest festivals across the world.

Born of the Manchester rave scene early 2000s and home to some of the earliest releases from D&B's regulars. Now based in Bristol - Drum and Bass / Jungle label Subwoofah has been representing the underdawgs for over a decade. Relauched in 2023 with the next-gen canines alongside some of the original pack-leaders.

DJ Ganon has been a fixture of the worldwide underground Drum & Bass / Jungle scene since the mid 90's, where under the name DJ Combustion he helped to introduce the US to his own blazing style of UK Hardcore/Jungle/Drum & Bass. These days Ganon is known for his 'Dark & Grimey' sound, delivering one heavyweight tune after the other, tempered with genre-busting remixes that blur the lines between Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Liquid and Jump Up. True to his OldSkool UK Hardcore & Ragga Jungle roots, it's not uncommon to hear the occasional OldSkool DJ Mix from Ganon or Drum and Bass Remixes of the classics which many times are produced for exclusive use in his live shows & mixes.

Belfast-born Dominick Martin has spent the last 30 years simply creating. He’s done so with a sort of restrained melancholy that’s broad enough to encompass a myriad of tempos and genres. Over 22 albums, this includes his more song-based experimental LPs, from drum & bass into dub, techno, house, ambient, jazz, soul, blues and folk.

The same can be said of his award winning DJ sets: Fluent within his own vast range, favouring the bookings where space and time allow him to draw out a narrative and provoke emotions, predominantly based on his own material. Calibre sets draw from his own personal spectrum, never resort to hype tactics and are perennially sprung with never-before-heard surprises. Whether you experience him taking over a room for the full 6+ hour trip, or he plays a shorter higher impact role on a bigger bill, his singular signature persists: a soulfully honest sense of the transcendental and a unique perspective and approach.
