"After an extensive tour in 1996, Björk returned to her home in Maida Vale with an urgent need to write new songs as a form of therapy.[6] Björk would let audio engineer Markus Dravs into her home studio to start creating new songs. Björk wanted to create an album with "a simple sound" and "only one flavour".[6] The album began with the working title of Homogeneous, but Björk shortly afterwards changed it to Homogenic.[6]
The sessions with Dravs and Björk were casual, with Björk allowing Dravs freedom with the album. Björk only left the studio to cook meals for the both of them.[7] One of the first songs created during the sessions was "5 Years" which Dravs created the fast beat for.[7] The progress of Homogenic in these sessions was halted due to a media sensation caused by the suicide of Björk's stalker Ricardo López.[8][9] To deal with the stress of being at home during this incident, Björk imagined herself as the protagonist in a Spanish soap opera.[9] The character's image inspired a song titled "So Broken" which she sang to herself in her kitchen.[9] The song was later included on the Japanese import of the album.[10]" Source https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homogenic

"So Broken" is one of our favourite Bjork tracks from a harmonic perspective and we consider it an underrated gem. Reading the above story behind the making of the original track gave us new insight and inspired us to create a bootleg remix to revive it, in addition to the technical challenge presented to us remixing off an mp3 rip and the midrange nature of the original track. After a good break and deep thought I’ve decided to ressurect on all things Sonic Treasure.
The last 12 months have proved to have been a real difficult time..
I had no energy last autumn to get my ass in gear, juggling work, play and life in general but most importantly, the health of my mammy, and the inevitable passing of her soul to the outer cosmos above which came this February 2025. 
No more pain, but then everyone connected, family friends engulfed in grief. The grief will never leave, you just live with it and adapt to its ways.
I was still active as a collective pushing THE MANIFESTO OF BLISS, with my good brothers David Keenan , David Scott and David Holmes, blessed to be playing in  Belfast with GWR and our good friends Deeply Armed and Escape_ism. Joining forces with McChuills Glasgow / Vashti And Tony Morris and even more recently in Portobello Edinburgh with James Yorkston / Stephen Clarke and Erin Farley and also Ian and Owen from Folklore…playing also in Leeds with Marie Avril and my first visit to the Social in London at the White Rabbit books birthday bash
Many many thanks to all those and more for keeping me occupied through a difficult time 

I feel now is the time to get The Sonic Treasure Show kick started and in doing so I’m welcoming on board collaborative mixes with Nico, Connor, Claire, Haldane and whoever fancies it, ill be keeping the show/ mixes to Soundcloud on the usual link.
Guest mixes will be kept to an hour long, and sticking by the no rules RULE, guests have Carte Blanche
We all have far too much beautiful music that deserves to be out there for yer ears and we have to do that justice by sharing it
