Here it is, the second major project from Impermanence: Somniferum. 

This was a project that got me through a real tough time, working on it has kept me going through a very brutal chest infection. A lot of the lyrics are about The struggles of being unwell, both physically and mentally, while also touching on a lot of the things that have kept me going through this. Musically I’ve gone back to the sort of sound I started out with. Taking massive influence from dream pop and shoegaze bands like MBV, Candy Claws and Slowdive and mixing it with the cloud rap sounds of rappers I love like 6 Dogs, Bladee and Black Kray. I’ve always felt there’s a strong overlap with these genres and I hope this mixtape can show the flexibility of the cloud rap sound. 

I’d like to give a massive shout out to my two best friends, Channce and Greenley for allowing me to constantly bother them with song drafts and ideas. Their support and advice has been absolutely essential to giving me the confidence and drive to smash this tape out. Thank you guys, I really mean it.
