Every time we linked with Robot Heart in the past meant a lot to me because it was a vibrant proof of the hard work behind the whole operation and what we are as a community, so playing at this years link night having the cherry on top of maxa camp’s deer as a special guest was the best comeback I could have asked for. Playing surrounded by people I love in front of all this magical creatures creating one big single entity reminded me why I do what I do… Thank you all."

Mary Yuzovskaya’s vinyl-only Monday Off imprint delivers the sixth instalment of its various artists series, calling in a crew of talented artists to explore deep, cosmic anomalies and soothing modular soundscapes. Kicking off the compilation is Poland-via-Berlin artist Blazej Malinowski, a true wizard with sound, whose ‘Ocean’ sees rich textural synths crash like waves onto driving low-end. Jennifer Cardini is a French DJ, producer, label owner, and electronic-music lifer now based in Berlin, Germany.
Cardini long since outgrew Pulp – the Parisian club where she first made her name – and set off on a mission to take her vision of house music to audiences around Europe and beyond. Over the course of a career spanning of fifteen years, she has delivered DJ sets fusing techno, electro and disco at the world’s most prestigious clubs (Panorama Bar in Berlin, De School in Amsterdam, Lux in Lisbon, Good Room in New York) and hottest festivals (Melt, Nuit Sonores, Burning Man). Yet her dancefloor philosophy is reflected not only by her sets and the music released on her labels, including electro imprint Correspondant and the more indie-oriented Dischi Autunno but also by her engagement in support of the LGBT-community. Based in Berlin following six years in Cologne, Jennifer Cardini continues traveling all around the world transmitting her love for music to us through the dance floor!

Today we’re all super hyped for for Lente Kabinet this weekend so to get us even more excited we’ve got Job Jobse making his entry to the series. He will play a closing set at the festival and as resident at De School is a master for serving up the perfect record at the perfect time. Initially a slow burner, he’s long been loved by Amsterdam locals for his richly melodic take on house, techno, Italo and disco, and himself is happy to call it trance. 

It’s certainly a spell being and emotional style that characterises his work here. With something of an old school slant, there are stiff vocal cuts and robotic grooves that slowly loosen up and turn to more hands in the air and zoned out fair before getting more sci-fi and occult later on. As ever with Jobse, it’s feel good and fun without being obvious.

To be honest I’ve never expected a Festival like this. Sure.. people told me already about this place, there are tons of videos in the WWW, but you have to see this magical place to feel the true spirit.
Still buzzing from this week in the desert. Just one word: Wow!
It was a big adventure for me and I was totally overwhelmed about this outstanding crew. Mayan Warrior family is out of this world and I’m more than grateful for this experience. 1 week ago I heard the live recording for the first time and it does sound great with the people's reactions in the background. I had goosebumps and a lil' flashback. Those memories are gonna stick for a while!
