Tyson Lambert and Jeff Button met as 6 year olds who lived around the block from one another growing up in the small town of Dundas, Ontario. It was evident was an early age that music would be an integral part of their lives. Hip-hop would be their biggest musical influence while attending high school in the 90’s with artists like A Tribe Called Quest, Gang Starr, DJ Shadow, & Wu-Tang playing a huge part. 

Shift ahead to the year 2000, Tyson moved to London, Ontario which introduced him to the underground house music scene. He bought turntables, and began playing gigs shortly after. They both eventually found themselves living in Toronto, where both would make names for themselves as Producers and DJs. Tyson built an impressive discography as a solo artist while Button held down residencies at The Docks, Mod Club, Footwork, Electric Island, CODA and played The BPM Festival in Mexico five consecutive years. 

It wasn’t until 2014 that the duo began writing music together in the studio. They released “Get Up In It”, a deep house EP with the familiar hip-hop vibes from their childhood sampling the great 2pac and Talib Kweli. The DC followed that up with a release on the Australian label Altus Project. In 2016, they released “Airwaves” on Scardinius Recordings, becoming the top selling artists on that label to date. Look forward to more gritty original work from these two as they continue to break ground as artists under The Dundas Collective (The DC) moniker.

 Tyson has been in the music scene for over 10 years. A move to London Ontario in 1999 sparked an interest in house music and is where he learned to beat match vinyl and began to play at clubs. He found his sound within deep groovy house, nu-disco and  tech house by digging though vinyl. Eventually moving with the times and the transition to digital, came with more gigs and a move to Toronto. Tyson gained even more experience with gigs in Toronto and playing along side DJs such as Kenny Glasgow, Nitin, Nathan Barato, James Teej, Jelo & Jeff Button. With gained experience and a good ear for the right sound, Tyson took to the studio and applied it to production. Now having signed two solo singles in the UK and teaming up with partner Wes Bonaventure, they have turned out 3 more solid E.P’s released on record Labels spanning from South America to Europe.

Secret Society is a community, and a record label based in Toronto, Canada. Gathering talent from the local, underground house music community, they are mostly known for their weekly podcasts - Secret Society Sessions - recorded live, every Wednesday 6-10pm.

Over the past decade, Jeff Button has righteously become a staple among Toronto’s underground music community. After moving to Toronto in 2003, Button found his way into the industry as a promoter at Toronto’s former Boa Redux after hours. Within a few years, he began his DJ career, holding residencies at many of the city’s influential venues including Mod Club, The Docks & Footwork to name a few.

With a sound that’s truly bound by no genres, Button’s mixes religiously bring dance floors to life. His productions have found their way onto labels such as Seaking, LoveStyle Records and Altus Project, while his skills behind the decks have landed him bookings at Corona Sunsets, The BPM Festival, SXMusic Festival, Time Festival and Toronto’s acclaimed Electric Island Picnic & Concert series.
