[UNDYNE:] * For years, we monsters have done ALL of the duties YOU should be responsible of.
[UNDYNE:] * For years, we monsters have built the land you swore you'd bring to life.
[UNDYNE:] * But nothing ever came.
[ASGORE:] * Undyne--
[UNDYNE:] * Asgore, this Is NOT your battle.
[UNDYNE:] * ...
[UNDYNE:] * So I began to think...
[UNDYNE:] * What's a kingdom with no ruler?

UNDERTALE: STORYSHIFT is a reimagining of Storyshift, set in a post-pacifist timeline of Undertale. Many years after Monsterkind had finally been set free, Alphys suggested to her friends that they all dress up as each other for Halloween, playing off the whole "dressing up as monsters" thing that humans were still prone to doing. A lot of them really seemed to like the idea. So much so, that a certain ghostly, theatrical entertainment robot would be inspired to write a stage play for him and his friends to perform in.

Toriel is meant to represent Undyne. In Mettaton's retelling, Toriel was one of the earliest members of the Royal Guard, being trained by war veterans in preparation for the inevitable. Since adopting Chara, her opinions on humans has changed, but she nonetheless feels duty bound as she has climbed the ranks of Royal Guardship and found herself being the leader.

Mettaton is meant to represent Chara, and takes a much more literal "Narrator" role. Being the writer of the stage play, and given the cards he had been dealt in the big Halloween Dress-up Party, Mettaton figured he'd be fine taking a less active role in the stage play. That is, until now.

Mettaton's play takes on a shocking twist. It's Halloween! What kind of writer would Mettaton be if he didn't give it a spooky twist!? Not even the other performers knew this was going to happen! The cast has no choice but to play along, and play dead when their time comes.

* Shock follows the impact.
* You fall back, back into the darkness of wires and metal around you but you keep falling you keep falling backwards into the nothing and the pitch black and it never ends and you never stopped falling and you never started, time  
   becomes a concept, the concept becomes a legend, the legend becomes a myth.

* The woman in front of you is gone, she was the metal and wires you left when you fell, there's nothing left but PURE ELECTRIC DETERMINATION.
* Before you is another woman, one you recognize, for she is you and you are her, because you are the fall and she is the cold dead cement, and you think "the night is young to die tonight"  and you are sure of the validity of those words, 
   because you're reading them on a screen, and that screen is your world and the screen is you.

* And you are so much more than you can comprehend.
* The woman smiles and says "To kill for yourself is murder" you smile at the thought,"To kill for your government is heroic" you laught at the sentiment, "To kill for entertainment is harmless" you heard these words before and she keeps  
   going and going and it doesn't seem like it has end or a beggining, it's just words and phrases and letters and numbers.
* It's you.

* It's ELECTRIC DETERMINATION!
* And your mind was made in it's image.

Energeia

Energeia is a word based upon ἔργον (ergon), meaning 'work'. It is the source of the modern word 'energy' but the term has evolved so much over the course of the history of science that reference to the modern term is not very helpful in understanding the original as used by Aristotle. It is difficult to translate his use of energeia into English with consistency. Joe Sachs renders it with the phrase 'being–at–work' and says that "we might construct the word is-at-work-ness from Anglo-Saxon roots to translate energeia into English". Aristotle says the word can be made clear by looking at examples rather than trying to find a definition. Two examples of energeia in Aristotle's works are pleasure and happiness (eudaimonia). Pleasure is an energeia of the human body and mind whereas happiness is more simply the energeia of a human being a human."

I'm not sure this helps much.
