Following the singles "In Heaven" & "Creatures" Passarella Death Squad introduce "No Mas." With bass driven throbs, clipped layered synths and the maleficent vocals of Emilie Albisser creating a world of brooding, twisted emotion this is classic Passarella through and through.

On double remix duties for "No Mas" is Simian Mobile Disco's Jas Shaw. Here we have the premiere of Shaw's Only The Lovers remix version. 

"No Mas" will also receives the remix treatment from Passarella’s ex label boss George Issakidis. Jas takes "No Mas" into deeper territories with 2 dominant mixes for the darker dancefloors whilst the Issakidis mix pushes the modulations into a state of hypnosis.

Exclusive Jas Shaw 'After The Panic, Comes Euphoria'

Whether you are deeply into electronic music or not, you've certainly come across James Shaw in some way. As half of Simian Mobile Disco or solo under his Jas Shaw moniker the British producer has been a constant contributor to the electronic music scene on so many musical levels for decades. His productions reach from experimental and eclectic musical pieces to mental mind-blowing takes not necessarily to be pinpointed to acertain electronic sub-genre – therefor James Shaw's musical approach is too diverse, therefor James Shaw himself is too diverse. As the artist always looks for new challenges to master and come up with further ways to produce music, he had the idea to combine two previous musical drafts/ sketches/ ideas slumbering on his hard-disk and come up with one final track in the end. The results of Shaw's newly found way of producing music have been released in his 'Exquisite Cops' series over the past weeks and will culminate in an album, which is due at the end of September. Shortly before his new track 'After The Panic, Comes Euphoria' will be out on Delicacies and only a few weeks after Shaw had collaborated with London-based artist Fort Romeau, Torture the Artist had the chance to chat with James about Stanley Kubrick, the aforementioned EP on Cin Cin and the upcoming album, artists he'd love to remix, his studio works and much more. Additionally you can listen to 'After The Panic, Comes Euphoria'.

Jas Shaw's 'After The Panic Comes Euphoria' will be released on Delicacies on August 2nd, 2019.

In 2019, Parisian cinema composer Jean-Gabriel Becker and Japanese composer and multi-instrumentalist Susumu Mukai embarked on the making of an album that was ultimately going to become Time Very Near. 

The album that had been their focus for most of 2019 was finally released with great acclaim in April 2020 through the strangest time in history and echoed with their fellow musicians and producers for its singularity and originality.

Prompted by a few unsolicited offers for remixes, Becker & Mukai saw an occasion to invite their community of musician and producer friends to re-invent, deconstruct and rebuild the songs on “Time Very Near”.

Studio mates, friends and colleagues accepted to play the game and re-arranged the pair's global grooves and clattering beats into brand new original tracks. They all contributed to make the line-up for this project read like a who's who of London's electronic music scene:

Joe Goddard from Hot Chip, who, from his studio next door, had been a witness of the birth of the project, was kind enough to unleash his killer beats on Spice War, which is the first track to be shared with y'all.

In the next few weeks, more remixes will come:
Old friend Jas Shaw of Simian Mobile Disco fame transformed the tropical sounds of Dark Fields Of The Republic into a dance-floor ready techno workout..
Long-time collaborator and friend Sasa Crnobrnja (In Flagranti, Mytron & Ofofo, Auf Togo) took Time Very Near on a trip to Jamaica.
Label mate AMA//MIZU stripped Tout Azimuth down to its core to rebuild it with his unique production skills.
Dreems delivered a sweltering 19 minute version of Dark Fields Of The Republic and a shorter version more suited for a vinyl listen...
And finally Becker and Mukai chose to don alternative monikers (Zongamin for Mukai and Lux Prima for Becker) to re-interpret their own compositions...

Like the original album, this remix project gathers sounds and inspiration from an ever-expanding palette of influences, assembled into something amorphously intangible that’s simultaneously refreshing and sharp, meandering and cosmic, futuristic but timelessly vintage and manages to expand where the original album left off.

In a similar process, the remix album's cover is a re-invention of the original album art and  will echo the collaborative collage that was created by the pair for “Time Very Near”.

I experiment with various genres of music. House, Techno, D&B/Jungle and 90's UK Oldskool remixes top the list of favorites. I produce housed breaks with heavy bass lines but like to diversify. I was heavily influenced in my teens by 90's oldskool and have been a sucker for a piano line ever since. I then got into Techno and played at numerous free parties in the South East of the UK on sound systems at illegal raves. Having taken a break from djing for a number of years i then got back into music by learning to produce my own tracks, with one of my recent productions being played by Carl Cox across the globe. I also broadcast a regular Friday night show on Kane FM as a duo - House of Dice. I mix and produce multiple genres, not based on any specific boundaries, simply the types of tunes that feel good.

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Amps is a Japanese DJ and composer. He belongs to a Japanese club music label "TREKKIE TRAX". 

After spending his youth with Trip Hop, Drum'n Bass and Dubstep, he started DJing. After that, he was based in Takasaki WOAL. At the same time, I learned House Music and Disco Music. Currently, he is DJing mainly in Gunma and Tokyo.

In track making, he mainly produced Juke / Footwork and Jungle. His track featured at 'Rolling Stone' and  'Thump'. But since around 2020 he has been energetically producing Minimal / Deep Tech under the influence of Solid Grooves Records and more. In June 2021, he released the "Be On A Roll EP" on @Trekkie-Trax , and his house edits on his Bandcamp were heavily played on Skream @SKREAMIZM . Since then, he has been releasing Tech House / Deep Tech music and expanding his activities with a new style.

LALATTE is a DJ, a producer, a lyricist and a vocalist. He fulfills alternative music projects under many aliases.
He created artist names for his tracks or songs such as ACADEMIST, HAVES, BEAM NUDGER, LIGHT FRINGE, ADVERSARIES, DANE HEAVYWAVY, BEIGE F12, LASON GRILLS, SIR CHEWY, WINTER WALK and WEST D. He co-founded the FLASHCUT music label. He is one half of WIZE GROOVE, a project with a jazzman, one-half of EVALUATIONS, a project with Sebhall, one eighth of bossa-nova band VAZIØ and is also known as DEDÃO CASACO.

I am a UK born DJ, producer and general music junkie now based in Sydney. Growing up around the thriving underground music scene in Manchester it was easy for him to fall in love with underground music and soon journey from the dance floor to behind the decks.

Over the last 10 years I've jumped between playing the club circuit in Manchester, UK including Iconic club Sankeys and many more. Running my Hydration Longboat party series. Doing a stint on to the magical music isle of Ibiza further cemented my love for music.

I've hosted DJ shows for Easy Street, Pure FM radio (UK,  Just Vibes radio and Orbital radio and now play every second Friday on Bloop London Radio. My style is a mixture of electronica, progressive and melodic house, and deep house including jazz and funk. 

Now based in Sydney where I play as one half of the Dark Dreams Collective, co-founded with Forked Tongue. Launching our Black & White Techno nights and Conscious Rebellion Progressive house raves all over Sydney. Also working with the Sutra, Deep Repeat, Mind Sub & Renegade crews playing at the likes of Club 77, Burdekin, Goodbar and more.

Glasgow-based industrial-techno DJ, running monthly parties under the NULL / VOID banner on the first Sunday of the month in Nice N Sleazys' basement and occasional events in other venues. Has played alongside the likes of Keepsakes, Christina Sealey of Orphx, DJ Andi of Synthicide (NYC) and JD Twitch of Optimo, and put on international live guests such as Multiple Man, Celldod, Autumns, and Qual.
