One day, I felt really stressed, I had gotten into an argument with a family member and they weren’t listening. Without saying much more, I decided to go for a walk, as I looked outside, I decided a bike ride would be better. And so, this song was created.

If you ever feel sad, down or stressed out, you can listen to this happy, soothing, chill, relaxing, moderate tempo, soulful hip-hop/rap song with a few elements of pop. The song contains a very rich story to which a few sound effects enhance its delivery.

I go on a bike ride and realized that there is a forrest near my house. I decided to explore it and seen some animals living life. I decide to get back on my bike and ponder on my situation for a little bit. As I’m riding, I realized I have not played basketball in a long time. I go to my friends house to go shoot some hoops. We start free styling on the way to the basketball court and my friend says a really hard bar. We get to the court and we start a game. I hit a game winning shot and win the game.

This song has a some flutes, pianos, a few synths, drums. Using a Roland RD2000, Logic Pro X, and a MacBook Pro, I was able to create this song.

Living in a stressful time where I don’t know what life holds for me.

Pour cet épisode 156, je reçois Nicolas Leroux auteur du livre de recettes Food Rando. 
Nicolas a quitté son job de consultant en logistique en 2020 pour orienter son quotidien sur des centres d’intérêts qui le passionnent : l’aventure, la cuisine et l’écologie. Ce changement de vie à 180° s’est construit au fil des aventures et des rencontres. Quelques années d’apprentissage et de voyages longue distance à pied et à vélo l'ont fait devenir cuisinier engagé et aventureux. En traversant la France à pied de Menton à Lille par les plus beaux massifs Français, les Alpes, le Jura, les Vosges… sur 1800 km pendant 3 mois, il découvre un mode de vie minimaliste, tout en sobriété au contact de la nature. En 2021, après 3 mois de formation, il décroche son CAP cuisine. Une nouvelle étape et depuis il ne cesse de vivre son aventure qui est son moyen de sensibiliser et d’éduquer aux enjeux climatiques par la cuisine. Il partage ses expériences de vie, par des récits, des conférences en utilisant l’aventure et la cuisine comme moyen d’appeler à un monde davantage tourné vers la sobriété.

Closing out National Bike Month with a young man from Auburn who just completed "Bo Bikes Bama" for the 4th time. We have more on that event (started by the famous Bo Jackson) and (5:15) avid cyclist Jared Bowles shares about the importance of doing challenges for causes, this one for storm relief victims in Alabama. It was instilled in him early in life about  lessons of discipline - for all of us. Make sure to subscribe to "Run The Race" to hear stories like his of fitness and faith.


(13:40) This single father his fitness journey from swimming at 11 years old to now triathlons. What has his training looked like for his Half Ironmans? He breaks down the numbers for swimming, biking, running...plus being a healthy example for his 4-year-old son.


(22:01) Rebelling at a younger age, Jared's son being born was a wakeup call that got him back into church and exercise! The ups and downs of his health journey included a failed full Ironman, a snow skiing injury, and learning to lean on the Lord more. What does he reflect on about God while running and cycling? 


(29:21) The challenges of having his own single family residential construction company and being a single dad means finding balance...and waking up earlier than he wants to bike or run. (33:16) Jared shares a little more of his cycling story, the costs involved with this hobby, what the average bike ride looks like for him...his recent Marine Corps Marathon experience, and aiming for a full Ironman in the future.

You Don't Rule Me


L'histoire du Bon Wagon se mêle à celle de l'existence autrefois d'une ligne de chemin de fer qui reliait Annecy à Albertville. Ouverte au trafic voyageurs de 1901 à 1938, elle est aujourd'hui déclassée et partiellement reconvertie en piste cyclable, appelée la voie verte du lac d'Annecy. Sur ce trajet ferroviaire, il existait de nombreuses gares, dont celle de Duingt qui abrite aujourd'hui le café vélo Le Bon Wagon. Cette histoire de voie ferrée - ajoutée à l'expression "prendre le bon wagon", c'est-à-dire être dans la bonne échappée - a inspiré Guillaume Henry lorsqu'il a cherché un nom pour son café vélo.
Le Bon Wagon est situé dans le village de Duingt où Guillaume a longtemps habité. Il voyait cette ancienne gare désaffectée et ça faisait un moment qu’il murissait le projet d’y installer un café vélo. C'est lors d'un séjour d'un an en Australie que Guillaume a découvert le concept. Les élus locaux et la mairie ont eu confiance dans son projet et c’est ainsi que Le Bon Wagon entame sa 5ème saison pour le bonheur des nombreux cyclistes qui empruntent la piste cyclable de la voie verte.
