Flagging In The Desert, Part 1 - Live Set - March 1, 2025

Of note in Part 2 is an almost-mashup I made of the My Marianne version of "Husavik", and the [Avicii/Leona Lewis] track "Collide".  Previously I've given My Marianne and Leona Lewis a brief duet, with happy results (they are both Cahill remixes in the same key).

But just for Flagging In The Desert, I decided to make something special - I've given them four duets - two foreshadowing the upcoming "Collide", one for the transition, and one last, lingering echo of "My Hometown..." at the end of "Collide".  Now I just need to get them to do it live! :-)

Flagging In The Desert, Part 3 - Live Set - March 1, 2025

How can anyone *not* have heard the original version of this song? :-)

A huge hit for ABBA in 1975, and of course it had a stage and movie musical named after it (and that included it).

On closer inspection it is even more brilliant than at first listen.  Most tracks have just two musically distinct parts (such as verse and chorus), but "Mamma Mia" has about half a dozen - all depicting the different crazy states of mind of an on-again, off-again relationship.

The unusual sound at the start of the song is the marimba - a brilliant choice that includes an out-of-key note to really heighten the zany emotions.

As with many remixes, my goal was to make the track a little more danceable and up-to-date, but hopefully still keeping the spirit of the original with its many musical flourishes.

What's interesting here? There's a cover of the theme from "The Love Boat" with a brilliant arrangement, sung by - Charo! (Remember Charo?)  It's fun and zany and genius and I love it!

I've also got a minimal edit I made of Kylie Minogue's "Off With His Shirt" from "Gallavant". ("Galavant" was a brilliant TV musical comedy, and it was a tragedy it was cancelled.  Run right out and watch it!)

"Love Will Keep Us Together" and "You're the One That I Want" also got some edits to make them play nice with the other tracks.  Classics that are too good to be forgotten!

Oscar's World Famous T-Dance - Live Set - November 23, 2025

San Francisco DJ / Producer Matthew Shambroom began his DJ career spinning high energy big room tribal house (circuit music). His creative range has expanded and evolved and he now focuses primarily on melodic techno / progressive house as well as some classic house and mainstream EDM. I live in San Francisco, and I love my city immensely - the land, the buildings, the people, the music, and the art!  I also dye silk dance flags, and have been known to flag dance now and again.
