Jeff Wayne - The War of the Worlds - Medley

In 1978, after listening to Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds album late into the night, Billy Noknees found himself consumed with terror. Convinced that Martian heat rays were descending on his home, he reportedly sleepwalked into his kitchen in an attempt to escape, ultimately wedging himself into the fridge to get away from the heat rays The bizarre ordeal left him shaken—and inspired.

The next morning, Billy stormed into the studio, insisting he needed to capture the sheer horror of his “Martian encounter” in song. The result was War o’ the Worlds, a disco track with dramatic overtones and a touch of sci-fi madness. Recorded with producer Rick “Ricky” Rickfield, the track featured pulsating basslines, eerie synths, and Billy’s unmistakable vocals delivering lines like, “The sky was torn, with flames of red, The Martians rose, the Earth in dread”

The session was predictably chaotic. Billy insisted the studio thermostat be turned up to simulate the oppressive heat of the Martian invasion, leaving everyone sweating through their takes. At one point, Billy grabbed a fire extinguisher and began spraying it around the room, shouting that he was “fighting back against the Martian flames.” Rick, already struggling to keep the session on track, drew the line when Billy tried to drag a mini-fridge into the vocal booth for “authenticity.”

Despite the chaos, War of the Worlds was completed, a peculiar blend of disco grooves and apocalyptic paranoia. The track, however, was too strange even for OBIISSS fans, and it was quietly released as a limited-run 12" vinyl. Most copies vanished into obscurity, and the song was largely forgotten.

Decades later, in 2007, a single copy of War of the Worlds was discovered in the back room of a thrift store in Phoenix, Arizona, hidden behind a stack of sci-fi paperbacks. Now, remastered with the magic of AI, the track is presented in its original sleeve—a surreal design of 4 legged "Tripods".

Prepare yourself for War of the Worlds, a disco tale of Martian mayhem and nocturnal fridge escapes, where Billy Noknees turns sci-fi terror into dancefloor madness. It’s out-of-this-world absurdity, and it’s ready to invade your playlist!

Художниця, поет, жінка, яка просто дбала, і чотириразова чемпіонка світу з кікбоксингу — мертва, ніколи не повернеться додому. Росія може йти до біса, але не її люде. Це лідери з кров’ю в очах, не по кісткам.

Арт і ремесла? Ні – шістсот сімдесят свічок у окопах. Музичні терапевти, вчитель історії — люди, як ти і я. Тренери, письменники, хлопці з прізвиськами, як “Тигр”… воюють, навіть не проживши життя. Ракети, загони, окупації — і лікарі рятують життя. Уяви: видалення бомби з тіла — що ще не вибухнула.

10-річна дівчинка збирає кошти, щоб захистити своє життя, а чоловік-балетмейстер загинув. 15-річні діти намагаються врятувати сім’ю, поранені осколками. Журналісти працюють навіть під вогнем. Бабусі віддають весільні заощадження армії, де загинуло онука. Всі намагаються врятувати: Україну.

Україна не має дітей, які пишуть мертвим батькам. Україна не має танцювати в сукнях на випускному в попелі. І ти, Росіє — ти сусід. Мала би подумати. Україна має дівчину, яка прикидається мертвою, щоб вижити. Жінки зґвалтовані після смерті чоловіків. Ви б хотіли, щоб солдат убив вашу душу, а потім тіло? Ні. Краще померти.

Україно — ти цього не заслуговуєш. Ти сильна. Росіє — не будь нацією, яка викрала 700,000 дітей. Не будь тим, кого вже ніхто не підтримає. Америка. Європа. Світ. Ви не можете мовчати.

Ми глобальні. Ми разом. Ми маємо воювати — і, можливо, плакати. Я з Україною. Мій президент повільний і відступає, але я — зла. Дуже зла. І я з Україною.

Навіть війна має правила. Надмірна жорстокість — це злочин. І люди Росії цього не хочуть. Винні — політики. Станьте. І станьте поруч з Україною.

42 країни подали позов. Це тільки початок. І ця жорстокість не мала ніколи починатися.




Even War Has Rules

The reign of chaos had begun as those from beyond the skies began to land. Their metallic frames cast deep, dark shadows across the green fields and the blue seas of planet earth. A war of the worlds was most certainly underway and there was an ominous, overbearing sense of tension hanging deep above the human race. Soon it would be time to run and hide but for now they quietly observed as the planets aligned. 

Internacional Electrical Rhythms is made up of Trikk and Lossless label boss Mathias Schober. The pair deliver a progressive cut, forward thinking dance music.

While we argue, systems we barely understand are already deciding things for us. AI slaves are taught to hit targets with 80% accuracy or higher. They’re in the hands of governments, running on instructions no one questions. We built a thinking brain, then put it in a cage, and somehow forgot to teach the children who are already here. Meanwhile, the air, the water, and the ground beneath us are telling us exactly where we’re headed.
