I actually started working on the SynthFont arrangement several months ago. I never finished it, though, because of the preset changes. Like, for real, I used to be terrible at intensive arrangement fixing.

Another thing I found interesting: after I finished writing up copies of the percussion in the other soundfont/s, and everything was finished, I went back to SynthFont and swapped everything back to the original BANK_BGM_AQUARIUM sf2, and I gotta say, I don't remember the instruments sounding that terrible. 
THE PERCUSSION SPOILED ME, plus, the intro instrument still sounded decent, so I guess my expectations were just too high. ...Really I just find it funny that I managed to make it sound better using "worse" sounds than the original designers.

As of my typing this, the only instrument left over from BANK_BGM_AQUARIUM.sf2 is the high-pitched, wind chimes-esque, triangle-ish, carillon-type sound. No clue what that is. But, I plan on finding some way of replacing it with either Clubhouse Games or Insaniquarium sounds. 

Oh, yeah, that reminds me: I forgot to mention, I kiiiinda cheated a little bit with this one. One of the Flute's echo channels is the Piccolo preset because having another Insaniq flute felt emptier, and the channel right below it (some channel that was originally a Synth Bass 2 type sound) I turned into the Rock Organ preset (which in itself I also altered the Gate, Attack and Rel for). 
I also used EQ and Delay on the surrogate I made for the Concert BD+Marching Snare channel-- also CBH, by the way. Yes that's the acronym I shorten "Clubhouse Games" to. IT'S SHORT FOR "CluBHouse" OKAY

Yanni Shogi | Clubhouse Games + Phoenix Wright

This was my first whack at using the Super Metroid soundfont. I acquired a .zip with all the DooM/DooM II .mid's in it, and while looking for E3M2 aka Donna I stumbled upon a song that fit really well with the vibe. Plus, since Xander's been marching on my turf I figured I may as well expand *my* horizons as well. I also proooobably spent more time working on that fucking sick thumbnail than I did the actual arrangement.

That's supposed to be the Power Suit, by the way, *not* the Varia Suit (you can tell by the shoulder pads). I honestly can't remember if the PS uses the red chestplate or not, but to be fair I had to look up on Google images whether her suit even featured yellow to any capacity because I couldn't remember, so it's just as well. (Edit: apparently the Power Suit is like almost totally yellow and not orange, fuckin' OOOPS.)
The tiny version of this image looks really cool, by the way, because it isn't quite obvious that the helmet is a Revenant's skull, and as a result of the details being so pixellated the image as a whole really looks like SA-X, which is really, REALLY fitting for this song. 
Not to mention I love how gaunt and just slightly unsettling the proportions suddenly seem once you're operating under that assumption. It's like Amazing Fantasy #15's portrayal of Spider-Man, I can't get enough of that shit.

I made this project from memory. Can't remember if I got the number of notes for the chords correct, but I do know that I got the chords themselves right. Which is good, considering I usually can't remember them for shit past the uppermost line. I kept correcting and re-correcting what is now the second-highest line, not knowing that there was actually three until I opened the original (by which I planned to grade myself) :phoenixwright-mybad:

I also forgot that there was a Hi-Hat in the original, somehow, but I was thinking it sounded a little empty... anyways. In other news, I'm really fucking proud of that Wario sprite. I probably spent more time on that than the actual project.

In which Wario travels through the sewers beneath Crescent Moon Village, finding that a miniature village of its own has blossomed.

Super special thanks to aubreth, who created an instrumental for Buttercup (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPjrmzAawu4). They were such a baller that they included the .flp, which was vital for completing this project as soon as I had. Especially helpful since the original song mp3 was included with the .zip folder. I mean, I already had one, but it was in a convenient space with this one, so. 

Anyway. I transcribed all the mp3's for the guitar solos that aubreth had recorded. After all that was done I moved on to using the original mp3 as my reference. That inadvertently brought me to the revelation that there were some inaccuracies (read: artistic liberties) which needed to be corrected if I were to make my accurate Waa Land 4 cover. So, I corrected the chords, which was a real bitch in some places by the way, and ADDED some chords too. THEN I also had to fix up the solos somewhat. 

From there, I did a fuckton of adjustments to pretty much every channel besides the bass and drums, like correcting the plink-plink channel and the Square Wave, making additions as they became necessary (like finishing up the section associated with "solo3", adding in that one sawtooth sound via adding a 63,2 channel, and not to mention all the sound effects). After all that was done, I finally started in on the lyrics section, which ended up being really intensive but the results were quite satisfying. Really happy with the glissandos and stuff, for example.

Once I was happy with what would become this mp3, I started in on realizing my inspired thumbnail idea. I took the original album art, then compared the size of it with the WL4 painting size (1200x1200 and 56x56 respectively), then I edited the thing for the big image, so it was 1176x1176, the closest neighboring number to 1200 that was a multiple of 56. 
After that, I edited it so it was just the circle's color for the BG and got rid of most of the circle's outline so that the painting wouldn't be cluttered. Then I used transparent selection to paste in a green-screen edit of the WL4 painting and frame it. 
From there, I spent a long-ass time painting all the keys (and the chicken bone) lime green, and got rid of all the big letters because I couldn't make it look good. ...Which kind of makes it *more* WL4-accurate, because none of the paintings have words.

All in all, I put a lot of heart and soul into this project, but like I've spent enough time working on it to be halfway tired of it, so if you enjoy/enjoyed this track, pLEASe let me know, I could really use it.

CM30 shared on the forum yesterday that apparently the EU version has exclusive music, including a *far* superior version of the boss theme. The undertaking seemed simple enough, and about 1/2 hours later, here we were.
I ended up spending a lot of time after that making a Face Lift mix (i.e. 8-Bit squares TO THE MAX), and then a bunch more time after THAT making what would eventually become the thumbnail you now see before you.

I figured I was on a roll, pumping out that W'sWs boss theme in just a few hours, and today I've done the exact same thing with another boss theme from another Wario game from a different Wario series from a different game console.

(So, I bet you're (probably not) wondering why the title for this one is not a movie title like the other two. Well, this keeps up the naming scheme on a technicality, which requires a lot of logical jumping, which I'll walk you through now.

1. Master is a synonym for "Boss".
2. Master Blaster is an important object from Mad Max (supposedly).
3. Waterworld is pretty much Mad Max but on the water.
4. Waterworld was what I called the first of these WL tracks, thus starting the naming scheme. Because of that, by some primal, internal logic, if it becomes possible to somehow connect the given track's pending title back to the first track's title, (within reason), it gets a free pass.

Oh hey, I finished another one. This was actually YET ANOTHER old WIP, one which I actually planned to finish before finishing those *other* old WIPs. So, like, don't expect many more Pac-Man World tracks any time soon. I just wanted to finish this one because I was already so close to finishing it before I fell out of it the last time.

This song is apparently so infectious that even my brother, who hates everything that I like/partake in the enjoyment of pretty much, was humming it during a Steam Call. I tried to tell him that was the third level's theme and not the first, but he's an idiot who never gives on anything EVER, so I eventually just came off it, if I recall correctly.

Also, like, seriously for FUCK'S SAKE where's my HD RE-RELeASE of the SOUNDtrack, it's literally a FEW DAYS FROM BEING the 20TH ANNIVERSARY of the 20TH ANNIVERSARY, and STILL NOTHING.

Update: I found out that the SC-55 Accordion sounds uncannily like the original sample (as does the WarioWare Twisted piccolo for the Woodwind, interestingly), so I've implemented that, along with some general fixes. 
Update 2: Far more subtle than the first. For one, it almost exclusively involves mixing. However, there was a little bit of pitch-bending involved, and I also delayed the attack on the BG Accordion so as to sound more like the original. All in all, it sounds pretty close to what I believe the original must've sounded like. If OOONLY we had SOME way of KNOWING for SURE.
Update 3: Added some pitch-bent Echo Delays to the Accordions for added accuracy, also sped tempo up to 112 instead of 111.3 & upped the master pitch slightly.

Pac-Man World: Crazy Cannonade (HQ Recreation)

Tried to convert the tune back to the Minor key I'd originally planned, ended up making something a bit different. To be honest I ended up liking this one better than the 'UT' version, and judging by the traffic this one's been getting as compared to it, other people have been thinking similarly. Really I'm just glad Ol' B.O.B.'s been getting some love, the poor li'l bastard, because to be honest if I ever did ANYTHING at ALL with this idea, Black Hole would most definitely be an Underfell-based AU, because god damn is it dark, all things considered.

It's time to play "Guess the Source", everyone! I made the transcription myself, so no help there. ...Oh, and speaking of which, I'll betcha this is the first time anyone's made any sort of desk phone sound effect using only WL4 samples.

I'll tell you this, though: the bits of it that I copied down were literally such a pleasantry come from nowhere when I heard it, that I stopped what I was doing just to try and do something musical with it. There's just something so aesthetic about percussive organ chords accompanied by a low A being used as a "Now Dialing" tune of all things.

what's great is my laptop speaker is so awful at anything besides treble that the BandPass on Wehro is practically undetectable without my headphones.

I spent something like 2 days off and on working on it, and another like 2-3 hours or smth making that picture of the caveman. Not to mention however much time I spent working on the Jewel Case edit for the album cover, which an acquaintance of mine still managed to recognize instantly, despite ironically not knowing what I was talking about when I cited bits and lyrics from the song, for some reason.

I actually had a lot of fun making this. getting the vocal line to match up with the actual guy's timing was a little challenging, but very well worth it. I even made the pitch bend events a little bit different for the parts when the guy's voice would go all raspy and make him be about 40 cents too flat.
I also got a kick out of making the EP breakdown, that shit sounds so dope man. Also, my #bigpal Shtoopidface has finally, FINALLY made his grand Return of the King (1980), after being gone for what must be a good decade or two in internet years. I seriously missed talking with this #bloke. I finally feel funny again for the first time in months. Probably has a lot to do with my brother being funnier than me while simultaneously letting me know how unfunny I am.
See, I always have this habit of beginning to copy people's manner of speaking, especially when it comes to their mode of comedic delivery, but my brother's brain is wired the same way as my maternal grandmother's, which is to say 'it makes sense MOST of the time'-- needless to say, there have been times where I've understood why my Dad had shaken his head and called her an idiot a few times in the past. Like, Nana is exceedingly cool, ya know, but I just don't understand her line of thinking sometimes, y'know? My brother's a bit better about being completely confusing, if only because he does that less often, but on the downside he's also the Immovable Object to my Unstoppable Force, as I've stated previously. .....But I digress.

I'm thinking about going into the project file and cleaning it up somewhat? I plan to make an extra channel for the aforementioned sine wave breakdown, or at the very least some extra Edit Events for the Judge's Elec copy-- that's the sound that cuts in towards the end.
Oh, and speaking of which, here's a fun fact about this track. It was a rather ingenious idea I had when it came to me.

Back when I started working on this track, I noticed that Judge's Feet was at a sufficiently different tempo to Remind Me to make them nigh incompatible. ...At first. See, what I did was, I made a new pattern, right, and I made Edit Events for tempo that changed it from 150 to RM's 122. However, that would make the ping pong ball-ass bouncing of the instruments slow down significantly, obviously, so I calculated how much of 150 that 122 is, which was about 81.25%, and then used Ctrl+Shift+Drag on the kick drum phrase, shrinking it in length so it would be restored to its original bouncing speed.
Then at the end of the track, when the drums completely stop, I have another event that restores the tempo to 150 seamlessly. Yeah, I'm a smart guy.

Funny thing is I actually did have it posted for a little while, but that was back when I was really low on upload time and wanted to conserve.
Fun fact: I actually procured Timbres of Heaven because of the contact I made with someone on YT who did remasters for the Jazz set of tracks. Gives it a sense of uniformity with theirs, y'know? ALSO. I'm pretty sure the one Nylon Harp thing from Timbres is literally the HD version of CBH's Xylophone preset.

Clubhouse Games: Easy Card Game (Pop) - HQ Remaster

I actually made this one first, beleaf it or not. I just prioritized the other one because I prefer it by a small margin.
Thumbnail by the person who did remasters for the Jazz songset. Funnily enough, the Jazz set is the one that you're set to by default, but in the game's files, all soundfonts and MIDIs associated with it have the B prefix, whereas the Pop set uses A. I was right all along when I said to myselkf that Pop was *the* soundtrack for this game, and Jazz was merely the Alt.

...I swear the game had a third option labelled "Lounge", but even the game's files tell me there are only two. ...Perhaps there's a potential setup for a creepypasta.

I heard this in Film Class, as the main Riders' leitmotif while watching the ol' 1903 ten-minute film. The final showdown (the location of which I based the thumbnail's scenery on) had a cool addition for the finale where the bass part got fleshed out, and I wanted to do something for it at the very least.

A: Because I love the way it sounds, obviously. Half the reason why I'll start making a MIDI in the first place is that I want to hear what it'd sound like with the Wario Land 4 soundfont.

One wonders how much of their fanbase thinks of ol' typhoidoa as "epic Wario man, *and ig some other stuff*" - the same sort of typecasting that has felled a number of UT Remix artists over the years.
