After almost a full year, I've reached a point where I'm happy to put it out there. This involved a lot of microsecond to second conversions, and about six times as many hex to decimal conversions for ADSR and root notes.
Thank you to TTGD for indirectly setting me on this path, thank you to Polyphone 1.9 for being the means of creating it, and thank you to N64SoundListTool for existing so I could export the samples.

A loveleh tune whose title intrigued me. Makes me think of a steam train coming out of a tunnel, up on a steep, grassy, flat-topped hill-- chuggin' away.

Just remembered I made this, around the same time as Blooper's Garden. The mix is a bit old, so it might not be entirely up to snuff, but I still like my instrument choices.

My Mom hates this song. I don't know about Dad for sure but I can guaranTEE you he has the same opinion. (...) Coincidentally he just showed up. He's not quite "in hate" with it, as it were, but he's "not a fan".

Also, the melody is quiet on purpose. It is a karaoke MIDI originally, after all-- and even at really low volumes you can still make it out (which also means that this is a good mix), so it doesn't actually matter.

This one is actually several months old. I always had planned to have this be the track for my grand unveiling, ever since I came upon the MIDI on vgmusic at the start-ish of the year. Now, it's finally finished to where I'm okay with publishing it, and so, I uber-charge my Heave. or whatever.
it sounded so fucking cool, even with only six or seven sound banks accounted for, so I reserved this song's spot as definitely being part of the First Guard.

I like how the segments' vibes turned out. Very different from the original, but still similar - loosely connected, in the way that distant family members are.

Fun fact: the sine melody in Section 3 is completely original, and if I recall right it was supposed to leitmotif Play a Mini-Game.

Legitimately one of my favorite tunes, as MarioSpore caused me to realize. It's only fitting that it should be one of the first to get the MP2 treatment, and yeehaw it sounds freakin' fab.

This one I decided to do because it really taps into that same spirit. Like, if there were a 1v3 minigame themed after Wario. I can't remember which instrument I replaced with the Accordion, but it fits so well in (whatever)'s place that it doesn't bother me.
