You do get some nice surprises in this SC audiosphere of ours.

Imagine my delight when out of the blue Paco dropped me a note saying he'd composed some music and wondered if I might have a bash at some lyrics to match.  Of course, I jumped at the chance.

It transpired that his composition wasn't about anything in particular, rather, it was just one of those pieces that sort of emerge from a theme somewhere and grow into something very worthwhile but difficult to "place".  However, in our discussions about possible development ideas, I couldn't help but notice Paco's deep affection for his home city of Seville, and there’s only ever one outcome when England meets Seville…. 

Thank you so much, Paco, for the invitation to make some musical marmalade -  it was a hoot “jamming” with you!

tragedies repeat throughout history it seems because people lose site of history, lost in pursuing temporary comforts . We have to remember history, not distort it or whitewash it an learn from it if we ever hope to stop the next self made disaster.

to bring home his pay to buy his family things they want and need
his house is warm, his pantry full, whatever could go wrong

tomorrow he finds the factory closed, shutting down for good,
the owners found a way to save a dime on every part he made
the work is gone his hope is lost
leaving him no way to live his life the way he wants
the owners do not know the cost, but now they can each afford
a new mercedes
no one recalls how or why

Something To Believe --  with Mastering True Music

The Cleveland native started on the Chicago indie garage-rock, psychedelic and punk scenes, emerging as a founding member of the groups Starball and Sweet Heat, releasing albums on such cult indie labels as Thick Records, Minty Fresh and Kill Rock Star. She formed the electro-punk duo the Countdown with her husband, releasing music on Invisible Records. After relocating to Portland, OR, Tamar performed and recorded in 60’s inspired band The Pynnacles and ‘70s-influenced Paradise while she continued to write her own songs. Since moving to San Diego, Tamar built a partnership with Matt Walker on drums (Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, Filter, Morrissey) and Sean O’Keefe a the mixing helm (Beach Bunny, Fall Out Boy, Plain White T’s) and launched her solo career with The Restless Dreams of Youth in 2021, Start at the End in 2022 and Tiny Injuries to be released summer of 2023.
