Balahougan originally started in 2005 as an all drum group until 2009.Then in 2011 they started building a full band to create a Reggae- Rock fusion. Members include lead singer Ekoue Amouzou from Lome, Togo, West Africa, Will Barkley on drums and Joseph Watkins on guitar, both of whom are from Greensboro NC,, Dylan Dakota Austin on guitar from Raleigh NC. and Mo Marshall on bass To form an original Roots Rock Reggae sound that can be heard throughout Greensboro and surrounding areas of North Carolina
