This is my recording of the opening of the Sonnendeck stage on Wednesday this year at Lärz.

Wait... actually, the stage itself opened with Peter Licht's beautiful track "Sonnendeck". Of course, I thought about this as well, but only "Sonnendeck" plays "Sonnendeck" on the decks.

It was an honour to play at this amazing event, which was made possible by the hard work of many great people.

It took me a while to upload this set because my MIDI controllers had many issues while playing, and fixing some things to make it listenable took longer than expected — it took me five times to export this set because of mistakes I made and longer export times due to higher plugin settings.
I'm still not really happy because I put too much pressure on myself and encountered some MIDI controller issues, but there's always room for improvement.

it took me a while to upload this set because that day was the last time i saw our friend bas. he and the shoeless family were the first ones who booked me in holland , and over the years and many parties + festivals we all became close friends. dutch parties wouldn't be the same without him and this beautiful crew.
i still can't really imagine amsterdam and the world without him but i feel like i owe him this recording.

Schooled as a classical cellist, Techstil combines the hypnotic rhythm of techno with warm acoustic presence, and timeless geometrical melodies. Growing up with Kraftwerk he fell in love with analogue synthesizers at early age, and by 2006 he started DJ’ing in the underground clubs of Malmö. By 2008 he  followed the Basic Channel-beats to Berlin to participate in the evolution of the Berlin sound. After 4 years in Berlin he turned to a warmer slower sound, inspired by heavy base from Panorama bar, and never-ending weekends at Bar25... After many years in Helsinki, Finland he recently moved to Stockholm where he plays hypnotic deep house and dubby techno from labels like Sol Selectas, Giegling, Molt, Hypnus, Trolldans, Permanent Vacation and Diynamic
