Kicking off our 4th year of TSM Reports with something completely different right now! This month we've got a juke/footwork mix by one of the Denver locals holding it down for this niche of quick and complex bass music, Wayzout. The mix does a great job of representing all sides of this style from the chaotic, disjointed and wild to the smoother, more forgiving and melodically focused moments. Expect the unexpected! Regular changes between 4 on the floor and broken beats, crazy intricate rhythms in the percussion, the heavily looped vocal cuts: all the hallmarks of this Chicago style of bass music are present.
