Sonic Stanza is an exploration of rhythm and sound, musically and linguistically. Inspired by the depth and range of the human condition, Tempestfeather blends music and poetry, harnessing both mediums' transcendent power to tap into the unconscious – and celebrating storytelling's alchemical potential.

Expect intimate sonic excursions centered around a particular experience or feeling, that are just as musically broad and diverse as the inner emotional landscapes that evoke them.

What is ending is also beginning.

How does it feel to linger in these spaces?

Transitions can be smooth and easy, or jagged and uncomfortable. Either way, both are transient. Because time isn't linear.

dism4nic is an emerging DJ and artist based in Ruhr area, Germany.

The foundation for her passion for electronic music was laid over a decade ago in the southern German drum & bass scene. She has been deeply committed to the underground sound since day one.

In her work as a DJ, dism4nic places a strong emphasis on bass with modern and oldschool elements; influenced by a variety of genres, including drum & bass, jungle, electro, and Miami bass.

Her ability to blend various auditory narratives creates a sound based on fast, syncopated rhythms and atmospheric textures, while relying on simple, classical mixing techniques.
Energetic, surprising, gentle - melancholic at times.

Suitable for both clubs and personal listening.

For dism4nic, maintaining a strong sense of personal expression plays a significant role in the creative process and serves as the driving force behind her artistic work. She often incorporates strong visual concepts and themes into her music, providing an authentic and refreshing approach to the depth of her artistry and offering a diverse and engaging listening experience.

Sound System Culture on Air, the latest instalment in our monthly takeover series with a special day of programming celebrating sound system culture, broadcasted on Thursday on August 21st in the lead-up to Notting Hill Carnival.

The day will feature everyone from the pioneers who built the culture to the new wave of selectors, MCs, producers, and sound crews shaping it today.

You’ll hear @tippairie live on the mic, taking us through the spectrum of reggae, and a conversation with legendary producer @onusherwood ( @onusound ), alongside a curated selection of his atmospheric work and tracks from his upcoming album. @daddyernieofficial brings his reggae jams, while @originalfyahstartah shares her story of growing up around sound system culture and takes us through key tracks from her acclaimed debut LP.

Expect all-vinyl carnival selections from @miakoden that centre women’s voices, deep dub and movement-driven sounds from @stickydub and a mix from @blackobsidian_soundsystem with @mellowdramatics_
