"I’ve been playing more records recently after over a decade of mainly playing digital, and this mix is a reflection of that shift. About half of the tracks are on vinyl, including some nice finds I picked up specifically for this mix at Sound Advice and Voodoo Soup in Belfast. A few selections are new releases from my own labels, Duality Trax and Terrazzo, while others I’ve collected on my travels or been gifted over the years.

"My love for quality tech-house has definitely been reignited recently, and I think that is a big influence for this mix and my sets in general right now. You’ll hear tracks from artists who regularly make it into my set lists – Voodoos & Taboos, Housey Doingz, The Trip, Liquid Earth, and Black Loops – and some new favs like La La and Christopher Ledger. SingleMotherOfTwo (Björn Thomas) is a contemporary artist and musician, based in Cape Town, South Africa. They’re inspired by the constant barrage of noise from the city, which gives them an innate need to create and compose.
Heavily influenced by the DIY/Punk scene, SingleMotherOfTwo is drawn to gritty, harsh aesthetics and sounds in both music and art, believing that it’s just as important to have a distinguishable look, ‘something undeniably you’, as it is to have a unique sound.

Clone West Coast Series just released the album "DJ Sotofett & The Colours Of Computer Generated Instruments" - 15 cuts widening the spectrum of electro, with 80's Nintendo console vibes and holy grail analog vs digital synthesis. The album is filled with surprises, seamlessly transitioning from acid infected vibes and catchy electronic pop to avant-garde electro cuts. But this is "The Mixtape", a 45 min energetic and deep dive into essential Electro and Detroit Techno. Mixed by DJ Sotofett, with 2 x Technics 1210mk2 in the tradition of old school Hip-Hop mixtapes, it holds several cuts from the album (even an unreleased version), as well as excellent tracks by Aux 88, Skatebård, Carl Craig, Cosmic Baby, Westbam & Nena, Kraftwerk, DMX Krew, DJ Hell, Pom Pom, The Advent, Victor Duplaix, Dopplereffekt, Gus Gus, Reese Project, Daft Punk and The Jonzun Crew.
