"Jörg S. born in Cologne, from youth on, is fascinated by all kinds of art, so he taught himself the saxophone very early. Nowadays flutes of all kind are also part of the equipment, as are jaw harps, percussion, bass, guitars and keyboards.
He was and is always involved in many band projects and session events.
In the 80s he was a saxophonist in the Adam Noidlt Intermission Orchestra with gigs in Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf and Basel. Very early on he also worked as a writer with live readings in the Cologne area and was a painter with large formats for many years, all in addition to his job as a graphic designer. Hello dear Soundcloud listeners,

I'm still determined to continue producing music, the music of Pier Will, which can only be heard on Soundcloud and which can also be recorded... for now.

The world of music is rapidly moving towards a huge upheaval where the true musician will very quickly become "rare," or even more and more of a shadow, a peculiarity, a memory. This time is not so far away, as AI takes a predominant place in everything that touches us and surrounds us and in Music, this can already be heard very clearly!

Apparently, everyone is taking this lightly, and the few diehards are being sneered at as anti-progress terrorists, for now. I already have two work computers disconnected from the internet, which house my software and everything I need to work. No more updates for them to work properly... updates are only necessary if you need to connect! Another computer is dedicated solely to internet connection and will be used exclusively for streaming the tracks.

This decision has serious consequences for my production, as there are no more options to add anything to it. It's a gamble, but for me, it's an obligation to remain completely independent and free from AI.

Je suis toujours déterminé à continuer à produire de la musique, celle de Pier Will, que l'on ne peut écouter que sur Soundcloud et qui peut aussi être enregistrée… pour l'instant.

Le monde de la musique s'achemine rapidement vers un bouleversement majeur où le véritable musicien deviendra très vite « rare », voire de plus en plus une ombre, une singularité, un souvenir. Ce temps n'est pas si lointain, car l'IA prend une place prépondérante dans tout ce qui nous touche et nous entoure, et en musique, cela se voit déjà très clairement !

Apparemment, tout le monde prend cela à la légère, et les quelques irréductibles sont méprisés comme des terroristes anti-progrès, pour l'instant. J'ai déjà deux ordinateurs de travail déconnectés d'Internet, qui hébergent mes logiciels et tout ce dont j'ai besoin pour travailler. Plus besoin de mises à jour pour qu'ils fonctionnent correctement… les mises à jour ne sont nécessaires que si vous avez besoin de vous connecter ! Un autre ordinateur est dédié uniquement à la connexion Internet et sera utilisé exclusivement pour le streaming des morceaux.

Cette décision a de graves conséquences sur ma production, car il n'y a plus aucune possibilité d'y ajouter quoi que ce soit. C'est un pari risqué, mais pour moi, c'est une obligation de rester totalement indépendant et libre de toute IA.

My creative journey began as a visual artist, and now I'm concentrating my energy into creating music that can instantly impact minds and moods for the better. 

Almost all of my music is chill @ -100 bpm to hopefully stimulate calm and feelings of well-being in listeners as it does for me. 💙

I don’t use AI or samples. My music is original, digital, and composed using a MIDI keyboard and DAW. I also record live LoFi audio of ambient sounds such as birdsongs or rainstorms using an iPhone or a microphone connected to laptop.

In a world where we are poisoned by labels I think it's more honourable for humanity to show your true colours at the hard issues and lay them bare for a better future and in my opinion this should be more important then the success of whatever brand you are trying to create as a musician or artist. That's why I am The Beautiful Dark. My name is unlikely to help me become affluent and successful but it lays bare that this world has many dark inhumane ideas and mindsets to transcend and get on top of to move our existence on a path to a greater good for all life. So I'll do that for my children and I won't apologise for not trying to please people with any shallow so called truthful status quo. I write and record my own songs in my home bedroom studio. I play the guitars and bass, do all the singing, and have world class drummers from EZDrummer3 on all these songs. The song lyrics are from my head and heart. I hope to make more music soon so check back every so often👍
