The ‘Relationen' that was created this summer between us and Sascha was natural. We walked in the park which acts as an extremely convenient backyard outside his home and studio and discussed our thoughts about the future, the type of beer we enjoyed, flammküchen ...and music. We shared with each other, a belief that sharing more than just an email chain was important to how we experienced his music.... we shared a slice of his life in his Berlin. 

In Reaktionen is a way of artists communicating with each other... Sharing ideas and reacting to one another. In a world where we seem to be so consumed with disappearing into our own little digital bubble its important to recognise each other and take action together.

Kasper Bjorke had recently asked us to do a remix for some of his new material, and we did as any cunning shareman would do and passed the swap over for swap, thus creating a swap credit note in return. Mega-share in full effect. The kindred countrymen not only share a common bond in musical ability and production prowess, they also have a deep respect for each others work.   Kasper’s mix doesn’t take from the original, or bend it out of shape - but he takes a hold of the light switch and pushes the brightness up...

Autarkic’s voice belongs to him - and he is not afraid of using it to tell us how he feels. It would only seem suitable that he would take cues from Sascha’s instrumental adventure and translate them into a poem of a man breaking apart amidst the chaos of a relationship. 

Crowdpleaser... he loves to please... is it not obvious ? He gives the crowd a memento to take home from the peak of the party when that baseball-bat sized reefer hits the dance floor with a puff in it for everyone. Pure stoner party-house swinging in smoky delight. 

So now, we share with you - a group of sharemen doing what they love, so they can share it with you....*

Israel’s super-talented Autarkic converts the main theme into a progressive new-wave epic, adding vocals that tell the tale alluded to by the gently weeping, psychedelic guitar, reading in Funke’s original a narrative of personal breakdown, being pulled apart by relationship, presumably. If that all seems a bit heavy for your party, there’s an instrumental version which features no mention of mental breakdown.

Great Dane Kasper Bjorke builds on the lead lines, adding funky percussion layers and a hypnotic synth while skillfully containing the prog to a more dancefloor friendly arrangement. 

To keep things fresh, Funke adds a dope original track as well, and it’s a total pachanga popper that sounds like it was taken out of a Mayan Warrior highlight reel, the sound of a funky German man donning pointy-cowboy-boots, riding out into the desert on a diet of mushroom tacos and artisanal mescal. Plaisir de France donne du plaisir à la France et ailleurs depuis le précambérien des années 90. Compositeur, producteur, disque-jockey et charmeur de ces dames, Julien Barthe triture la chanson pop hexagonale et leur redonne rythme et intensité. Il était évident que ce Nantais vintage allait rencontrer le rétrosexuel Bordelais Guillaume Fédou, également connu sous le sobriquet de Garçon Moderne. Ensemble, ils ont mis au point cette machine à désirer quelque part entre Gilles Deleuze et Patrick Coutin. Sur une production disco purement Plaisir de France, ce diable de Fédou a improvisé un texte cru mais jamais cruel, crasseux et invraisemblablement vrai... Un hit intello en puissance comme on n'en pas vu depuis le fabuleux 1990 de Jean Leloup. 

La machine à désirer se présente sous trois versions : originale, radio edit et danse edit.

He wants it all but he is giving it to you both barrels with this wonky, analogue jam which fuses out of tune guitar sounds and a melting arp which shakes your hips at something close to 9.2 on the richter scale. Hats cut in and out amongst the slow paced mayhem. 
A tune so sexy, you want to take it home to your parents after putting a ring on it only to stop off in a layby for a quick fumble in the back seat. And after all, why not? You dirty buggers.
