A compilation of various polishing diamonds found deep in the Earth itself. Each diamond produced under high pressure and temperature some 250 kilometres in the Earth’s mantle. From breakbeat to house and techno and further into acid and trance, Truth Diamonds 3 consists of 10 crystal elements with the ability to disperse light of different colors and emotions. Truth diamonds can be worth millions.

Marcela Dias Sindaco's music captures the essence of Gated as a label, sitting half way between so many genres: bass-heavy electro, funky breaks, squelchy synth-boogie... but driven by Marcela's breathy Portuguese vocals, expressing the depths of her carioca soul. Marcela grew up in Rio de Janeiro, and as a classically trained pianist and cellist, music was in her blood, but it was her dad's obsession with Krautrock that influenced her early music taste. Later, travelling around Europe as a model, she discovered the clubs of Berlin, Paris and Milan and incorporated what she heard into her own music, using a studio filled with analogue equipment. The result joins the dots between heads-down club stompers, electrofunk, Prince, and Brazilian samba. In a word: fresh!

The ocean was quiet, there was little which disturbed the surface of the vast expanse of water but for the occasional raindrop which fell from the grey, overcast sky up above.

The mid afternoon sun had long since vanished, hidden behind a cloak of clouds as the last stragglers left the beach for the day to return to the haven of their apartments before the storm rolled in.

Soon there would be waves, grand ones and wild ones at that. They would batter the shore and the town would soon be awash with sand and grit, the only reminder that the beach had ever even been there at all.

That was life in paradise...

Forgotten Frequencies are remixed by infamous Glasgow party starters We Should Hang out More on the newly launched label In The Event of Capture.

Their remix is perhaps more understated and sombre than we might stereotypically expect but that is what makes it all the more special. This one is a treat...

For RE:WARM 004 we head to South Africa to welcome the amazing band, The Hurricanes to the label.

The Hurricanes comprised of Donald Mbowane, Albinus Sobekwa, Elias Sekete and Philip Marokoane. However over the years there were a number of variations in the band. They released a number of singles and EP’s throughout the 1970’s on RPM and Buffalo but they finally released their greatest hits in 1978 on Buffalo.

It’s from the greatest hits which was produced by Thomas J. Masingi that we have selected three wonderful tracks that show off the band’s phenomenal talent. The hugely sought after track “Sea Waves” will take over the A side with “Brother” and “She’s Got To Know It Well” on the flip.
