James Wolfe – Artist Bio

James Wolfe is a veteran DJ, producer, and label founder whose career spans over three decades in the electronic music industry. Widely respected for his technical mastery, deep musical knowledge, and trailblazing work in electro bass and breaks, Wolfe began collecting vinyl in 1991 and was DJing high school parties by age 14. By 1995, he was performing at major Florida raves, including the seminal RAPTURE event at the West Palm Beach Fairgrounds, and soon became a fixture on the U.S. East Coast rave circuit.

In 1999, Wolfe founded Frajile Recordings Inc., becoming one of the youngest artists in the scene to launch a record label. His debut release, Techtonic Plates EP, was co-produced with David Noller (Scratch-D of Dynamix II), who played a pivotal role in Wolfe’s early development. Around the same time, Wolfe co-founded the electro group Resident Alien with Exzakt, releasing a series of influential records that helped define the Florida electro sound.

Wolfe’s extensive DJ career has taken him to top venues and festivals across the U.S., including Ultra Music Festival, Future Sound of Breaks, and Winter Music Conference events, sharing stages with legends such as Anthony Rother, Carl Finlow, and Karl Bartos of Kraftwerk. Known for his versatile freestyle sets and seamless mixing, Wolfe continues to captivate audiences with dynamic performances and cutting-edge selections.

As a producer, he has built a vast discography of original material and remixes, collaborating with a wide range of artists including Rabbit in the Moon, Jackal & Hyde, Code Rising, AE35, and many more. Under his label Frajile Recordings, he remains a driving force in underground electro, committed to pushing boundaries and championing innovative sound.

Red Ear Announces Project 52 Launching at Amsterdam Dance Event

Red Ear is set to embark on an ambitious year-long project, releasing one track per week for 52 weeks, beginning at the prestigious Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). This innovative project will deliver a dynamic mix of House, Deep House, Tech House, and Progressive House tracks, capturing the evolving cultural moments of each week and blending them with immersive soundscapes.

The journey kicks off on October 16, aligning with ADE, a global hub for electronic music's top talent and pioneers. Red Ear’s approach promises to captivate fans with weekly releases that pulse in sync with current global events, infusing rhythmic sophistication into every track.

Red Ear's signature sound draws on the deep grooves of House, the driving energy of Tech House, and the atmospheric build of Progressive House. Each track will showcase a distinct blend of underground aesthetics with mainstream appeal, allowing the project to evolve alongside its audience over the year.

Breakbeat, tech(no/-house), drum&bass & psytrance DJ, producer, and radio presenter.

Former co-presenter/co-gaffer of Southampton Voice 103.9FM and later Bournemouth Hot 102.8FM's internationally renowned weekly techno show Beyond Control, which persists in the very capable hands of colleague Wayne DJC. Also historically involved with various online shows on NSB Radio and Brap FM, as well as playing guest spots elsewhere (eg Psymusic.co.uk recently).

Currently located in Southampton, UK having been denied re-entry to the mothership and not yet made it to Germany.
