Columbian-based label, From A Lost Place is no stranger to us here at Delayed. Since 2018 the imprint run by founder, Launaea has been a consistent presence in the ambient, deep and experimental musical worlds that we are so fond of. With past releases including notable names like Zemög, Claudio PRC, Launaea himself, and a few monster compilations, there’s something for everyone in their rich backlog.

Marking a new direction for the label, the latest forthcoming release, titled ‘parasympathetic’ finds us listening to a glittering five tracker by the German artist, YYARD. Bright melodies abound as the label states, ‘perfect definition of the artist's eclecticism, blending groove and jazz influences with very meticulous rhythms, rich and organic percussions perfectly suited for the dance floor’.

'apnoe', the second to final track on the release, takes a darker approach, compared to the emotional highs of, say, Endless Summers. A full-sounding synth lead takes center stage as it grows and grows, while snappy percussion plays throughout, providing that proper groove and infectious movement. Tracks like these are ear worms and proper for a warmup session.

'apnoe', and in turn ‘parasympathetic’ will be released on November 20th.

Unmastered ambient dub techno track made from 1 field recording from a deep forest and its atmospheric sounds, just before Halny burst out. Halny is a mountain wind, known for its capricious nature, unpredictability, and strength.

Another album on lempuyang can only mean another set of remixes. To reimagine 'Objects', we've invited Deadbeat who wraps a cosy blanket around 'Notions', Federsen who takes the stripped dub of 'Ruptures' into 4/4 territory, Merv rework the detroitesque 'Perspectives' into more chord-driven dub shenanigans, and Ohm & Octal Industries provide a hard hitting yet ethereal take on Assertions to close out.

Revelation of Sound is pleased to present Kalumet aka Zoltan Vajda from Hungary.  One of the oldschool master of storytellers of the psychedelic trance scene. He got involved in the mid 90’s, early enough to see the spreading of trance worldwide, to witness its transforming through the 00’s to our present time. Considering this kind of possession of psychedelic experience, one can never be in doubt to have a very special time when he is playing, be it live act or DJ set.

His musical history goes back to late 80’s, when he grabbed his first accords on the guitar. The bass guitar came in a few years later, and his world of sounds slowly got a shape, influenced by Joy Division, The Clash, Suicidal Tendecies / Infectious Grooves, L.A. Style, The Overlords, U96, Kraftwerk, Front Line Assembly, Yello…

Under different names such as Ork Monk, Trevor McGregor, and Tiger Punch, he traveled through half of the world to perform in special places like a cinema in Donetsk, a laundry in Cologne, a bowling alley in Tokyo, in the catacombs of Buda Castle, in the middle of Kanchanaburi lake near Bangkok, the mountains of Transylvania and Bulgaria, the forests of Lithuania and northern Russia, the magical beaches of Koh Phangan, jungles of Brazil, clubs of Berlin, Hamburg, Paris, London and Moscow, main stages of Ozora, Lost Theory, chill out areas of Boom, Voov, MODEM, Sonica..

Lately he got into the deep techno scene and has been released on labels like Oslated, Navigare Audio, Space Textures and Fur:ther Sessions.

Biography: 
Iván was born in the late 70s in an industrial city in the northwest of Spain, Vigo. In the early 90s he began compulsively collecting music. Cassettes, CDs, Vinyls and later in digital format. The "Golden Era" of Rap in the 90s formed a base from which it has never been able to detach itself. Through the Bristol sound of the mid-90s(Ninja Tune), the Jungle of artists like "Rebel Mc" or the Drum and Bass of labels like "True Playaz" , it fully enters into a more electronic sound. In 2001 he began his career as a DJ in different clubs in his hometown, with a sound mainly focused on House. In 2006, together with a group of people with similar interests and residents in Galicia, he launched the "Parafuso" netlabel, which was dedicated to publishing music by this group of artists with some guests. After a long period away from the public scene, in 2023 he returns to publishing references with labels such as "Space of Variants", "Apnea" and some other labels to come. This time their sound is focused mainly on Dub Techno.

The twenty second.

Sardinian native TVS, a producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist, shares with us a darkly contoured selection of tracks to energise and hypnotise, showcasing her appreciation and understanding of the ambient, deep and experimental.

The selection picks us up with an ambient overture, layers upon layers of sound added to a sonic canvas as images of murky basements, flashing lights and shadows are conjured to our minds eye. The kick an ever changing pendulum, the bass warping and twisting into the surreal, each track putting us under a new spell just as the previous releases us.

As the tempo and intensity rises, final slashes of experimental sound suddenly decorate the tapestry, bringing a release from the depths. We've returned from below, yet the surface seems different...

 As the year comes to a close and we move deeper into the depths of winter, we are honoured to be able to release this mix from an artist who’s work seems to be the perfect soundtrack for these cold dark stormy days. In at number 20 in the frontier series we welcome the incredibly talented Icelandic producer - Waage.  

 In a scene that can sometimes be saturated in similar sounds, Waage is an artist that has truly carved out his own sound. Always deep and uncompromising , always unique. Waage tracks are easily identifiable but rarely imitated well. 

  For his Frontier mix Waage has presented an hour of almost fully unreleased music. Which is an absolute privilege for us to be able to share. The mix is packed with beautiful sequences and atmospherics , its very Waage, and its very US!  

This will be one to play again and again.

   We want to thank Kristjan for this epic contribution to the series and we cant wait to get our hands on more of his music.
