Can I Have This Dance?

Once upon a time, I stumbled across this incredible Stevie Wonder song from 1968 that never made it on to any of his albums.  It's such a good song and I hope this rendition is an honorable tribute.  

Also, I filmed a music video for this one.  It's one of my favorites.  My good friend Micah O'Hair directed and filmed it.  We organically messed with the speed so it has a weird but cool vibe to it.

Chris Morris is a multifaceted artist known for blending genres and redefining musical boundaries. His latest single, Contagious, releases in November 2024 on Malaspalabras Records, the label of Santana’s Andy Vargas and comedian George Lopez, and promises to introduce his sound to new audiences worldwide.

A singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, Chris has captivated listeners with soulful melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. Born in Oceanside, California, he began releasing music in the early 2000s. His 2010 album, Ascension, introduced his unique fusion of soul, pop, reggae, and hip-hop. That same year, his single "Can I Have This Dance" was featured in a video game, leading to international exposure and a 2013 tour in Taiwan.

Releases like Recollection (2017), Changes (2013), and instrumental albums Calibration and August (2022) showcase his genre-blending artistry. A member of San Diego’s reggae band Roots Covenant and performer with Stranger, he has collaborated with icons like Johnny Clarke and Sister Nancy.
